it's obvious to 99.9% of us you're not a huge pop fan...ok, cool. but in my opinion, any list like 'the best of...' should be a completely unbiased list and include artists from all genres, esp. when you're doing a list re-capping 'the best of' for that year.

oh my god lol!! check out that guy below me's avatar. ok, james, now you're confusing me, cuz you're now saying you wanted to make a list of albums fans should check out. then why call it 'the best 25 albums of 2008'? why not call it 'the 25 most underrated albums' or 'my 25 album picks: more fans should check out' something like that? cuz when you title something 'the best of...' then fans are gonna expect artists from all genres on the list. your list were mostly rock bands who didn't make much of a splash this past year. so of course, britney, rihanna and lil' wayne and other artists's fans will be pissed.
