if they could let her be Alice when she is tall why can't they just keep Jacob. I don't think the height really matters anyway. The movies are supposed to be just based on the book not an exact likeness. Besides, his height isn't going to change that much in the movie. If they can make normal people hobbit size (i.e. lord of the rings) why can't they make someone a little taller?
