I have no idea why some of you are writing these comments. We did not destroy the hotel or break the chandelier. The floor was moving up and down as we were jumping. However, the only thing I heard (from volunteers) that happened was dust from the chandelier and the ceiling were falling on the people and their stuff below. The ballroom below us was perfectly fine (might have need to me vacuumed a little) and was never out of commission. The hotel was incredibly stupid to us on the upper level ballroom when they knew we were going to be holding concerts in it. This just increases my dislike for Hilton hotels. This particular hotel's layout for the rooms we used during the conference was terrible and their elevators were extremely slow. Many ended up just running up and down stairs, when we could actually find them, to get places on time if we did not get lost first. Beside the problems with Hilton, I had a fantastic time at both Wrock Chicago and Terminus 2008. I am happy that MTV did a piece like this because wrock is the fastest growing genre in music today.

The comments here are dumb. I was there and I saw the chandelier in question, as well as the room below. The hotel was fine and the group on the floor below continued as scheduled.

I was so close to being in this!!! Like 2 feet away! I didn't know we broke a chandelier.

Well, we didn't break the hotel on purpose. They had us on an upper level ballroom... not condusive to concerts where people jump and dance alot. We were just jumping and dancing... normal concert-going activities. We didn't find out until afterwards about the broken chandelier, lights and pipe that put the expo hall below us out of commission for a week.

I was there as well! it was amazing! i was so happy when we all starting jumping again at the end it was sweet. I wish it wasn't so long in between events like this!

i was there! we broke the chandelier below us!
