Kentwood residents say they heard the news long before the media picked it up. (12.22.07)
i think that she should not be pregnet yea your pregnt but I LOVE YOU AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
isn't the girl in the introduction of the video, from 'America's Next Top Model' ?
I think just becuz of the way her sister acted doesnt mean she is going to act the same....yea she's pregnant at a young age but does it mean she is going to go down hill from here???...NO!!!...Jamie Lynn is a really good person...no i havent met her but mi sister and i love her show....i relle think that juss becuz of her sister that she shouldnt b judged as "Another Brittney"...I say GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!...i kno ur gonna b a GREAT mother...I LOVE YOU AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AT EAST SHE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILTY
I think the media should leaver her alone!!
ok look who gives a flying flip im 14 and pregnant and i think it is better having a kid at a young age cuz you can relate to your kid better
owning up? so far, all shes done is come out to the world that shes pregnant. big deal. the owning up is going to be when she actually has the baby. if shell take responsibility then, or if shes just going to hire a nanny to do it all for her.
HURRAY Jamie Lynn- she made a mistake and she is taking responsibility for it. KINDA refreshing actually for a celeb to accept the consequences- too often celebs use their $$ & fame to get out of relationships, jail terms, and other responsibilities- Here is one who is actually owning up- have to applaud her for that
they r stuipd just leave her alone man
Teenagers shouldn't have the added pressure of being a role model to anyone? Then maybe she shouldn't have signed on to have her own TV show. Maybe she shouldn't have worked so hard to become famous. Sorry, that's what happens. you're a celebrity, you're going to be a role model. Thats just the way society is these days. She knew that it was going to be that way when she started in the business. She saw how many young girls looked up to her sister. And the fact that she can financially support a baby has absolutly nothing to do with it. Take a look at how she and Britany were raised, and whats happening with britany's kids right now. History repeats itself boys and girls.
Hahah they would go to her hometown asking for peoples oppions wow how low is that it doesnt matter how they feel shes not there to please anybody, and stupied people on these comment things need to shut up except for the ones that are excepting the fact that she took responsiblity for her actions whats done is done oh well and wuttah you guys will say that what she did is a mistake it isnt a mistake it was something that shouldnt have took place but it did and now its a blessing its the most beautiful thing that can happen to you and no its not whos romodel for anybody brittney has nothing to do with this this isnt her fault everything jamie does doesnt always have to reflect on what she does.she does them cause she wants to she knoes what shes doing shes a grown ass girl!&nd i wish her the best of luck dont let nobody bring you down :)
What Jamie Lynn did was not responsible at all, but the way she is handling the situation and what she is going to do it responsible. And i do not agree with everyone, i do not think that she is a role model to young girls. I don't think that teenagers or 7 year olds are looking up to her and are know going to go out and get pregnant, that is just rediculous. What she did was wrong, but she will be able to support this baby. Also, i think alot od people are looking at this and then relating her to her sister, which is not fair. She is her own person, and i do not think that her sister had any effect on her doing this.
my comment is for candice b. I would once again like to reiterate that a 16 year old should not have the added pressure of being a role model to anyone. I certainly do commend you if you thought of how every decision would affect every person in your life and made no mistake throughout your teenage years. She is 16, just because she is on television does not mean that she is not like any other teenager her age. She made a big mistake just like millions of other teenage girls around the world. I am in my 20's and I don’t have kids but I do know that I certainly do have a mature view on this situation. My parents didn't put much of a hand in raising me, like most parents they would plop me in front of the TV and go do there own thing. Thank goodness I had the sense to read books instead of magazines, and run track instead of watching TV. I played sports instead of playing video games. Yes I did watch some TV, and play some video games but my whole life did not revolve on those kind of things. Watching TV was always a last resort for me. I didn’t look up to pop stars and celebrities. my hero’s were people in the peace core, and habitat for humanity, and Greenpeace. I aspired to be like people who made a real significant difference in the world. If parents were doing their job, and reading with there kids, taking them to museums, putting them in sports, putting there kids in after school programs for all the single parents, just anything that would expose them to the world outside of tv, video games, and fashion and gossip magazines they wouldn't be looking up to Jamie Lynn. They would look up to people who really have made a significant difference in the world like Martin Luther king, Albert Einstein, Shakespeare, Marie Curie, and Emily Dickinson, and the list goes on and on. If you want to point the immoral compass in the right direction look to the mom who let her little girl grow up in the shadow of her older sister. Imagine being Jamie Lynn, and having your mom putting all the effort in with your older sister, and leaving you behind, and for all of you Britney haters, imagine having your families livelihood hanging over your head at the age of 16 before every concert, photo shoot or appearance. It’s way to much pressure to put on someone that age, no wonder she has so deep into the Hollywood drama.
I think that people should stop feeling sorry for that girl. It's her fault that she couldn't keep her pants on. I have no sympathy for her as a fellow teenager. She's walking around thinking that it's and normal for this to happen. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's okay. She should lose her job on Nickelodeon FOR GOOD!!!!!! It's not Britney's fault that her sister can't keep her legs closed!!!!!!
wow she made a mistake it happens to everyone. And look at her sister she is just as bad shes not a good influince on her and u cant blam just jamie it takes 2 to tango
Mistake doesn't make the people, it shapes them to either being a better person or a worst person. So sit back and lets watch Spears at what they do best, ENTERTAIN!
Jamie Lynn is rich, the 16 year old girl that comes from a poor family is not. What is the message at that moment? The only message that there should be to these young, low IQ kids is that if they can't afford a child, don't have one! It
From reading the other comments, I know that I will probably be attacked on my opinion here. Perhaps it is because I am older, and have children of my own. I can say that your views change as you mature and especially when you have children. Kids immitate their teenage idol stars. It certainly sends a wrong message to 16-year old girls and younger. In my opinion, when you are a role model to kids, their is an element of responsibilty that you have. This sends a wrong message to young girl. You have to keep in mind that many of her fans, not all, but many are 7-13 years old. I commend Jamie Lyn for doing the responsible thing and taking care of the child. I just feel that as a country, we are loosing our moral compass. We need better role models for our children! The Spears family is trashy. It is evident in their decisions.
Okay! I really don't understand why people are calling her a slut. They could've used protection; ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! only abstinence is 100% effective!!!and people are having sex at age 13 by now. She's being responsible: she can care for her baby so she didnt get an abortion;she's not ashamed of her mistake because she isn't hiding it; she's not blaming it on anyone; and acting like an adult she knows that she really needs to be one. Yes, she is on nickelodeon and kids arent supposed to be having sex. BUT THEY ARE and that she's being responsible and advising people to wait sets a strong message. NICKELODEON VIEWERS ARENT GONNA GO AROUND TRYING TO GET PREGNANT!! her show isnt that hot. Now those young kids in a similar situation will have an example to follow. You've got to do what is best for you first, and then your child. If you arent healthy, or positive you really want to be a parent, the CHILD will suffer.
