I actually have to disagree...we haven't seen the whole movie yet so we shouldn't judge...I think Jamie carries that arrogance and introverted style of Jace very well...he may not have the angelic look, however since the author is on set helping write the movie, I think she approves...I will be interested to see who plays Sebastian.

Okay, so your saying that an irish brunette and a twenty-eight year old gay guy look more like Jace than the actor that was officially casted? I hope you know that Jamie Campbell Bower put his heart into this movie. He memorized the runes and their meanings, he learned hand to hand combat and how to handle weapons. He even learned how to play the piano for that one scene when Clary walks in on him. Also, he's done all this despite all the crap he's been getting. A girl I know met him in Toronto and told him he was an awesome Jace and he said "Thanks, that means a lot to me since I've been getting so much crap." Yeah, he knows. And he's one of the nicest guys there, and the one that's been treated the worst by fans. Cassandra Clare has complete faith in him and says that it's like her character was brought to life, and that Jamie understands Jace better than her, the author, ever will. So if the person who created the character thinks he is the perfect Jace, why do you think you know better than her?

That awkward moment when everyone is complaining about Jace when in reality the author, whose view is the only one that matters, loves Jamie as Jace. Everyone, stop whining about casting choices and get with the program. Jamie is a good actor, he'll pull it off. If the AUTHOR OF THE SERIES, who CREATED Jace Wayland loves him, why can't you? I had worries about his casting before, but apparently I'm one of the few who's actually trusting enough of the author of the books to give him a chance.

Jace looks too old and more like a villain. He's suppose to be angelic, young and innocent looking yet strong. The guys picked to be Simon and Alec look more like Jace. What a terrible let down before the movie even starts. I'm sure he's a nice guy but he might be better fitting as Sebastian at best. I hope they change him before the second movie films.
