"They have to have a certain level of fame that will support your budget," director David Cronenberg tells MTV News.
ROB's performance was riveting, literally gut-searing in the last scene with paul; ROB said it best, i think: i didn't recognize myself at all in this movie; i liked it!000awhat a difference the right director makes. david literally gave ROB, in effect, permission to trust his own instincts and to make eric his own...and what a result!
is it just me, or does there seem to be alot of smirking from this interviewer? there must be, as david felt the need to add that last assurance as to ROB'S performance caliber.000asuch an unwillingness to give ROB his due, a resentful prejudice...i really notice this in the "C" reviews. one review praised ms. gaddon , saying she stole the scene...another that paul stole the final scene from ROB..another gave the review on eric packer, as if he were the actor, or back-hand compliments. ..ugh 000a
