I agree you haven't read the books but I also agree that Jamie is not a good Jace Wayland I mean I can't change it we will see what happens but I am pretty sure he will be as big of a disappointment as Kristen Stuart well I gotta give him credit not that bad but pretty close. He was a horrible actor in Camelot but maybe he has had some acting lessons since then. Anyways Like I said lets see what happens with the story maybe he will pull it off but I still can't help seeing quasi moto everytime I see him :/

Alex Pettyfer would SUCK at being Jace. Jace is SUPPOSED to be sexy, and sarcastic and a Shadowhunter!!! NOT (Read: NOT) a pretty boy underwear model or whatever it is Alex does. Jamie is perfect to me. Why? Because he's sarcastic, and sexy, and he doesn't look like a pretty boy. You Jamie haters have been brainwashed by OneDirection on what you think of when you read books about MEN.
I'm not complaining but... if there isn't Raphael Santiago in the movie... how would rat simon turn without changing a major plot? =\
If the cast isn't appreciated, then I guess one shouldn't watch the movie. Stop complaining. There's nothing that could be done anymore. The movie has been made. I am OBSESSED with the novels. Although the cast isn't perfect, I believe this will be a great movie.

I'll be honest and admit I'll only be watching because of Magnus Bane. He is my favorite character in the series, and I still don't see Jamie as MY Jace, but he is a good enough actor so... I'll take him.
I think this looks remarkable :) I am really excited about Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace now after watching Camelot....

I have to admit that I am a little upset that a trailer has been made already!! and that is because August is SOOOOOO far away... and that date could still change!! After watching this trailer I want to see this movie NOW!!! It is going to be so good. I am VERY happy with the actor choices! After all, when the author of the book looks at them and says YES these are MY characters brought to life, then you know its right regardless of what was in Your head. We love this story because it is what is in Cassie's head.
Look they way i see it is thery already made the movie so if you dont like the chartchers your dont have to watch the movie when it comes out so shove that in your juice box and suck it , it may also turn out thath you like the Jamie as Jace in the movie when you watch because you havent seen the movie so you cant say thath is bad from a trailer:)
I'm sorry, but you have clearly not read the books, had you, you would know for a fact that Izzy uses a whip; it's apart of what makes her so bad ass. And there were several adults, Madam Dorothea, Luke, Hodge, Joceline, Valentine, Blackwell, Pangborn, Gretel, Magnus, Brother Jeremiah, and Alaric, and I don't think I missed anyone. It actually seems very to the book, and I think that the flamethrower is from the church that they go to to ammo up to go into the Dumort, although Izzy and Alec weren't there, but that is fairly minor. Just because you assume that they will ***** up the movie, doesn't mean they will. I highly suggest reading the books though, they are truly amazing
At first when I heard that JCB was going to be Jace, I was kinda eehhh about it; but now that I've seen the trailer I can see it, and I think he'll make a really good Jace

Why do people try to pretend to read a book they never read. It doesn't make you seem smarter when you make inaccurate comments concerning a book you supposedly read but obviously didn't. I'm a fairly new fan to the series but even I knew who the woman talking to them was and as for the whip, honey that was Isabelle not Clary. I got into this fandom because Jamie is one of my fave actors, he is the perfect Jace as far as I'm concerned. I can't wait to see this movie. It looks like its going to be an amazing adaptation. I squeed so hard when I saw Jamie do that flip off the table and also when I saw Alec, for some reason he is my fave character of all. I'm not sure about Lily Collins as Clary but I am willing to put that aside, she does fit the description of the books so I will give her the benefit of the doubt. I love seeing Robert Sheehan as well in this, he is adorable especially with the glasses, the perfect Simon!! I'm so friggin glad I found this fandom!! <3
I agree with Ruby... I love Jamie and I find him to be very hott!! In fact, the only reason I got into this fandom is because I heard he was playing the main character so it made me curious about the books. I would watch anything this man has been in. Go watch the series Camelot that Starz was idiotic enough to cancel and you'll see what I'm talking about. Jamie made a beautiful Arthur and he'll be an even more wonderful Jace. This role was meant for him since he beat out some major hollywood stars to get it. I'm so thrilled to see him get his chance at a really big role that has a huge fan following. He was in Twilight but was one of the baddies so he didn't get real recognition, I think this will help him get the notoriety he deserves. He's a talented actor and singer who doesn't deserve to be second guessed. Thank you Ruby for sticking up for him. <3
the old woman in the trailer is the old woman that lived downstairs from clary and her mother's apartment. she had the portal in her house. and your perception of the characters are different from everyone else's. everyone has different thoughts on what they are supposed to look like. the book described jace as tall, built, with long blonde hair. i'd say jamie campbell bower fits that criteria. this movie is going to be epic. just by the trailer, i can tell they've done a good job.
