Big Mac u have a great point. As far as Ryan is concerned that is the most convoluted pointless comment I have ever read. It carried nothing but random sentences meant to make us believe that somehow he holds some degree of inteligence. And only serves to make him seem like an idiot. But then again it doesnt surprise me that an idiot would go see this garbage. And this is for the other idiot named Eddie u know they actually used chinese calligraphy all over Avatar?!? hmmm i wonder where that was invented? and when u put that together with a characters clothes which are traditionally worn by different asian cultures as well as the food they eat, and dont forget the Architecture, oh yeah and religious subtext of reincarnation also asian belief by the way. Then what do u get? you probably dont know what reincarnation means huh? Well I will leave you ignorant people with that. Look up yellowface and blackface while if you really want to know whats wrong with this picture, it's still happening it's just not as obvious anymore.

I hope it's a potentially good/interesting movie, regardless though, I am learning that Bo Kata that is seen in the trailer. It looks very cool and my wife was surprised how well I perform it.

Oh for the love of everything good and wholesome. It appears that “BigMac” is serving up her own “Whopper” of a racial doo-doo sandwich... ((2 different colored patties, brown sauce, white cheese, black pickles on a sesame seed bun))… Are you seriously trying to play the race card here? This is a Nickelodeon cartoon-based film… Are you serious?... Seriously?... To insinuate that individuals “excited to see this film” are, in some way, “contributing to racism”, is quite possibly one of the most ridiculously fascist statements I have read in quite some time. You ARE Right about one thing, and one thing ONLY. To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, (This was actually Newton’s law of motion in re: to physics, but you’re still correct), and here’s why… The potential (and quite probable) reaction of your writings could be as such… Sadly enough, there will certainly be a few impressionable, under developed young minds out there (in MTV Land) that will read your comments and say to themselves, “yeah, she’s right!” Not with thought or reason, but merely because your comments are sharp and framed with a clear “F-U ism”. After all, what youngster doesn’t feel good about F-U?... If what you are aiming to do is further the agenda and development of racist pigs like yourself, then keep up the “good work”. “Way-to-go” on spreading the love! Rub that funk on in girl. Can you smell it? Only in The U.S. do we have the “Right” to spew our hate, fear, contempt and idiocy, (or love, caring, understanding and reason) over the internet to share with the rest of the world. Why does this movie’s casting decisions make you so upset? Could you (with all of your casting director experience) have done better? I know, M. Knight must be a racist huh?... He’s always tryin to keep the minority down isn’t he?... Did you yourself, or someone you know, within your personal ethnic group get bypassed due to the “white-washing” of the roles? Are you really that thin skinned? In my experience, I have found that focusing on a solution (the +) will often reap positive results and also make me feel a bit better about a situation, (and myself). On the other hand, focusing on the problem (the -) does the exact opposite. We make no positive head-way, (often making things worse), and also stand a good chance of spending more of our lives pissed off and resentful. If I were a good man, I would omit all my negative comments about you to make a better point. However, it would be at a dis-service to the readers of this thread. So, I will unselfishly sacrifice myself and stoop down “just a wee-bit”. Even though you are clearly a complete and total mooncalf, you don’t deserve to live your life this way. You deserve better! Use your head for something other than a hat rack, pick your battles wisely and fight a fight worth fighting. Please understand, racism is definitely a cause well worth fighting for. ANY form of injustice is worth fighting and dying for. However, a – plus a – doesn’t equal a + no matter how you serve it up. Stop hating and blaming others for the disappointments you have about yourself. May God bless you, keep you, and have mercy on your racist soul.

So... If you watch Avatar: The Last Airbender so much, can you tell me where on the map of the 4 nations it says "China?" Can you please tell me where it says "Asia?" Please, point out to me anywhere you think it says something about a race or ethnicity. If you can't find any, then please, keep your comments about race to yourself. To think that because a certain character acts or dresses a certain way, or happens to have a certain skin tone, that makes him a certain race, is the most racist thing I've ever heard. And you seem to be asserting that, simply because the characters look a certain way, they should be played by a certain race. That's racist. You're racist.

If you all are looking forward to this abomination, then I am embarrassed for you and U.S. society. You all are the reason the media gets away with passive forms of racism and discrimination under the guise of "artistic license". It's not "artistic" to appropriate another ethnic group's culture and whitewash the roles. You all are the reason for under representation of minorities in the media and their perpetual stereotypes. Remember, you actions and inaction contribute to this cycle. Glad you all are so excited about this pile of dung, but are you all equally exited about the Asian actors who weren't given the opportunity to portray their own race? For every action there is a reaction, and because you all are so excited and indifferent about the goings on in Hollywood, then remember...it wasn't Keith Bardwell that denied the interracial couple their license, it was you!
