Here's an idea: If you don't want family members to think you're gay, don't play the role of someone's girlfriend and accept gifts constantly as well as text about loving them. Problem solved.
Yes he did,I love Max but he definitely crossed the line there.He basically told her sister she was having an online relationship with a girl,if that's not outing her then what is it??Maybe he didn't say "Your sisters gay",but he sure put the thought in her families head and thats enough.It's not his place.

He didnt "out" anyone, he worded it very carefully, quit being so sensitive. What he actually SAID was that he thought a girl was inlove with her sister, and what she thought about it. he NEVER said anything that would "out" her. Christ.
I think Alicia is gay as well but Max should have never done that. I think he possibly scared her away and could have caused this whole " I did it for an iphone" issue. Her family is obviously not going to accept it. I can see the hurt in her eyes even when they reach out to her again at the end of the show. Sad it turned out this way...
I think Alicia is definitely gay...BUT, I think Max telling her sister prematurely made her put up this wall and fake front so that people wouldn't know the truth. Her sister even said she wouldn't be accepted in her family if she was gay. Her saying that her relationship with Aaliyah was fake is a LIE. Even if you're "using" somebody, you don't have to go that far saying you are in a relationship with them. Also, after the show, she was still attempting to "apologize" to Aaliyah. If the "relationship" was so "fake", no more apologies would have to be made. Bottom line.
Definitely not okay that they outed her to her sister.. either way though, if possible, I would've slapped the hell out of this girl. How are you going to toy with someone like that and then turn around and lie? Not okay
