I absolutely love this show! it's a true reflection of the lives of young adults who live in the heights and maybe in other urban communities. They strive for success, how can anyone knock that! Their ambitious and have common sense. More importantly they are actually working towards progress. MTV got it right! I just hope MTV pays mind to the positive feedback. I'm really interested in the outcome of all the individuals - will Jimmy make it to the minor leagues?, how long will Ludwin stay in Boston? and will the sounds of JP aka "Audubon" make it to mainstream.
I don't really get how they are using mostly L.A. artists for music backdrop in this show.. if your gonna go all the way Heights, the artists being featured should be from the East Coast..if you are really gonna be real,,what about some of the artists working with salsa, meringue, percussion..i'm not knocking the L.A. talent but there is too much talent in NYC not to have more talent with the flavor of the community you are representing..you can't rep the heights fully if you are not hearing percussion or salsa somewhere in the mix here..just saying

not fake at all. I'm personally friends with JP and have worked with Rico in the past. They are have all been friends since kids. Its cool that they will actually get to show their hustle. Best success to them!

Being from the Heights, I'm glad that we are FINALLY getting some recognition. BUT where are the black people? The Asians? The whites and Jews? I guess MTV is only filming from 175th to 181st street because the full area of Washington Heights is a mixture of races, cultures and colors. I am black/African American, born and raised in Wadsworth Terrace and probably speak better spanish then most of the Hispanics in my block, but from the promos you would think only Hispanics live there. That's the only thing I hate about these MTV docudramas/"reality" shows is that they stereotype people and areas. Italians aren't the only ones that live on the Jersey Shore and Hispanics aren't the only ones that live in Washington Heights. I bet if the produced a show about Harlem they wouldn't show nothing but black people. MTV...stop promoting stereotypes and show TRUE reality. Peace!

As funny as that sounds I highly doubt it; since it is filmed in the heights for real. It would be kind of hard to stage something as big as this. And MTV has a reputation to uphold. Pulling something off like that would cost a lot of money!
MTV is far from growing up. Since I was a child Ive been watching and to me it still feels like MTV!
Check E! out when you get a chance. They do specials on artist and stuff. MTV also do live shows now, so thats where its gone.
Im excited to see what this is all about. I think from this trailer I kind of see someone is on the rise, but not too sure who or what. I dont know this may be another publicity stunt.
