Not to mention Issac got 'the bite' too so wouldn't he have just made him into the kanima? It would have been a lot easier to control Issac since Issac was also being beat all those years too. Both Jackson and Issac lost someone to murder, so if it was Issac's brother then i would think he would have used Issac.

Isaacs dead brother had been abused by his own father while his classmates knew about it . That is why they are considered murderers. The Teacher was Isaacs brother only friend so he controls the kanima with him. That is why the guidence counselor PURPOSLY mistakenly says the kanima seeks a friend
