I totally disagree that Dan ignores human emotion-that is just insane/unfounded. Not sure how one can come to that assuption. I have read his column and most recently just watched him on his MTV show. He tries to use humor in his approach to sex topics or when discussing difficult topics but never does he come across as inhumane or emotionally inept. You are entitled to feel the way you do but he has never gone around promoting cheating.

the only time he supports cheating is when the other partner is not giving sex, and the person feels they are emotionally suffering without that human connection. AND in those specific case you work your hardest to keep any outside activities discrete and pour your renewed energy back into your relationship and family. Sex is something that makes emotionally fulfilled, and for some people it means more then others.
Dan is definitely not supportive of cheating. He believes in honesty and communication. He does support non-monogamy, as long as everyone know whats going on and is happy with it.
Well he supports cheating so I don't like him. He has good points but completely ignores human emotion.
