So I'm watching an episode of I used to be fat, and I just have one concern so far. If they are going to get rid of food that the family has, food that has not been open. Then why not box it up and take it one the homeless shelter or food banks, instead of throwing food away that can save a life.

Hi my name is Brittany John and I turning 16 in May, a sophmore in high school. I am around 5’6 and I weigh 175 lbs. I have always been the tall and big girl in my school and its never bothered me because I play a lot of sports so it works to my advantage. My whole family has always struggled with their weight because my mom left when I was one and my dad could not raise us, work day and night to pay for our house, and feed us nutritionally all at the same time. I have two older brothers that are 19 and 25 and we all are obese. I feel that we all are or were in depression and denial from what happened because we were so young so we turned to food and my father didn’t know how much it was going to affect us. He just wanted us to be happy and move on. My pediatrician has always warned us about future health conditions that could occur if we don’t lose weight but, I need someone to push me in the right direction and show me that I am capable of losing this weight. Also, I feel I would be inspiration for my family to lose weight and start living a healthy life by working together but, we need help showing us what are the right choices. I also feel that losing this weight will help me be a better athlete and boost my self confidence through the roof. Please consider me to be on I Used To Be Fat, you would be helping my entire family to live a healthier life.
How do you get on this show? For years i've been trying to get into shape, but i think i need that extra push.

this show is so inspiring but for me i believe i need someone there on my case til i can do it on my own. so im asking mtv here tonight to see if i can be the next person to be picked to loose weight?! usually these teens try too loose weight throughout the summer but i want to get the hang of loosing weight y the summer. i should be starting college in mid June! i would like too loose about 80 pounds. so far i eat vegetables by having them steamed is that a good start?

Hi, my name is Briana, im 16 and fixing to be 17 on the 18th of Feb, im a junior in high school. Im from Houston tx. im 5'5" 1/2 and im around 169-175 pounds. I am really un comfertable with my body i cant stand to look in the mirror and i hate being over weight, ive been like this for about two years now because of depression and my parents divorce and i eat because i get bored, i always tell my self im lose weight but i cant seem to stay on top of it and i cant stand hearing my own mom i need to lose weight, and people at school always ask if im pregnant when im not and never have been! i want to prove to everyone i can lose weight before spring break or before the summer starts but its so h hard to do it on my own and i really need some seriouse guidences. i want to be able to look in the mirror and see a flat stomach and be proud of how i look and be able to wear cute clothes insted of trying to cover up my stomach. i know i can do it but i need some seriouse help!!

Having timed snacks and meals has helped me loose a lot of weight! I am an athlete who gained a lot of weight after a back injury. :( I have hypoglycemia so I struggled with not eating too much and and keeping my blood sugar high enough to function. Because i'm on a food schedule, my blood sugar knows how to time itself. Instead of me always playing catch-up i'm now one step ahead. I also pack my snacks ahead of time and count the calories! It really works! Snacks are super important! I eat a lite string cheese and a hand full of almonds at 11:30 and 4:30. Try it out!
