Well arent you just freakin special, Danielle! Have you NOT watched these shows..they have said all along that they gave Carly up because of there home life!!! Have you not seen how much of a ASS her Mother is and Butch is in and out of jail and rehab....that is NOT the life they wanted for there child! I think they are doing a Wonderful thing for there Daughter! Noone cares what YOU did, your not the one on the show...Get over yourself!!!

look i think tyler and catelynns story is a load of bull. i was a sophmore in highschool when i had my daughter. i graduated school on time and i am currently in college. I work go to school and i take care of my daughter. I am maintaining a wonderful relationship with my fiance and a good friendship with her father. so yeah. That story is a load of crap. you could have finished school on time and still do what you have to do for your daughter. I hate it when the media makes teen moms look bad. your segment on the show should be canceled.

What is Amber's problem? I'm not trying to be mean but she should really let Gary have Leah until she deals with her Anger issues. All that little girl sees is fighting and her pouncing on Gary....not to mention her language. Gary IS a good father, he tries really hard...Again, she should let Gary have Leah.....get counseling. I am really suprised Family Services hasn't gotten involved in removing the child out of that home.

Sometimes it's mind over matter. I was a teen mom and my baby came first. I am very fortunate and would not have survived without the grace of God. My husband (and the baby's father) married 2 weeks out of highschool and have been together 10 years now. We have 3 beautiful boys who have NEVER gone without. We now own a 2500 sq. ft home and I have a great job and smart, athletic, boys. We worked hard for it but everything we gave up to raise our baby as teenagers, we have received back in double! God rewarded us in so many ways! And no my parents were not drug addicts BUT my mom was very verbally abusive like April. It KILLS me to watch Catelynn get treated like that and brings back those painful memories. How Catelynn turned out so wonderful with a mom like that is BEYOND me
Kelly, I couldn't agree with you more. I have been through what Catelynn's has been through, and what makes me cringe is how abusive her own mother is. Her drug abuse is so apparent, and my heart goes out to Catelynn. Her courage deserves so much more respect, and her mother barely acknowledges her youngest boy. How does a mother abuse her own daughter every chance she gets? Its really sad.
Too many people misunderstand why Katelyn and Tyler are applauded for their actions. If you pay real close attention to children who are brought into this world in similiar circumstances and are honest with yourself, you may find the circumstances are not only less thatn ideal for the child, but completely unfair and that they have been robbed. Robbed of a healthy and stable environment, What's really cool about this situation thus far is that Carlie has a loving family who can provide for her not only financially but emotionally as well. K and T could have completely ignored Carlir, but they are choosing to be involved in her life even though they are not raising her. Do you know how incredibly painful that is? They seem to truly love her so they are doing what they think is best for her. I agree with you when you say they haven't learned from their lesson, their not the only ones there are many people who have baby after baby under terrible circumstances. Something is not clicking in the brains of people who do this. They could have kept Carlie and paid for their mistake and yes they probably would have struggled and it would have made life harder, but Carlie would also have suffered more. When you truly love so one you do what is best for them not yourself, THey realize they cannot offer Carlie what her adoptive parents can and it is a lot more than money.
I feel as though these kids did the smartest thing they could have by giving their baby up for adoption. They may have laid in bed and whatever but they both knew that they wouldnt have been able to raise a child and give her everything that a baby needs. Their baby seems to have great parents now and with their open adoption they keep in touch. I have never gone through this myself but i believe they did the right thing and catelynn's mother should stop treating her so badly about all of this, especially how she swears at catelynn infront of that little boy. In my opinion that little boy should be taken away from her mother since she cant seem to be able to deal with life without a drink in her hand.
NIkia I totally understand what u mean, but u c how Catlynnes' mom treats her! imagine what life that baby would have in that home with an addict and a crazy woman like her mom! I think she gave her a chance at a better future.
im with her parents, if your old enough to have sex then your old enough to raise it... my baby will be 5 today and i would DIE if i couldnt watch her blow her candles out.....
well i love this couple but i think if they can lay down and act like grown ups then they should take care of what they created while acting like grown ups.... i dont understand why people keep saying that there awesome for giving her up for adoption cause they laid in bed and made a baby and then decided they didnt wanna be a grown up when it was time to take care of the baby! how is that awesome???? and then didnt she say she thought she was pregnant again, so i guess they didnt learn from their first mistake.....
they was young and they are step brother and sister BUT that baby would have been better off with them! They have such a strong relationship that that baby would have had everything it needed, im sure mtv paid them a pretty penny for being on the show so that baby would have been well takin care of by them....and when tyler says he didnt want carly to be around his dad when he almost went to jail, well nobody remembers there first few years of life anyways so its not like it would have affected her...i think they made a HUGE mistake

omg thats so touching and sweet, but sad at the same time. i respect catelynn and tyler so much for choosing a better life for carly god bless you 2.
