Wow guys, way to bash someone on the internet. The whole point of "If you really knew me" is to show who people are and so what if this girl is smart..or faking it..or a loner? The point is she had the guts to go on TV and admit to whoever watching that even though she is intelligent, she is blind to the world going on around her. I'm sure a lot, if not all, of schools in Oklahoma have problems, so quit trying to one-up each other and work together to fix it. I mean, that is what this show is trying to teach all of us, that we need to support one another instead of fight or whatever.
Sam, I feel like its ppl like you that prevent all youth from expressing their feelings. Thank God the ppl at MTV studios didn't have the same mindset as you. I'm from Miami inner city and yea I had problems but that doesn't mean I couldn't benefit from the knowledge of other ppls problems even if it wasn't drug/domestic related or benefit by being a support system for others. Have you consider that maybe inner city schools opted out of participating in this program?
I graduated from West just a handful of years ago and it def. has it's problems but every school has it's problems. Some may have more then another but all schools have problems because of cliques and today's society. Sam it's not right that you say all that. People who have money can come from broken homes and what not. I know it is hard but try to look at it differently. All the problems you listed been there, done that and it either makes you or brakes you. Hopefully this opportunity helps these kids overcome some issues.
Every High School has problems and some more serious than others but all are the same and all of the people have feelings.This weeks episode was amazing like all of the others I <3 Malcolm. I wish we were real friends
i think she does care.. and that's supposed to be the whole "If you really knew me"- thing.. but its kinda obvious. its silly nowadays how people feel like since they're smart they dont fit in. a really popular girl in my class has really good grades and shes funny and cool and stuff. Ashley's just a loner, pretending to have no feelings when really she has the most of all of them. she should try to talk to people more often, she'd be surprised how nice people can be when u open up towards them. i dunno, its sad.
Y'all call that problems? Deer Creek has problems? Yeah right! A bunch of spoiled upper class kids don't have problems. What kind of problems they have? "Mom, I wanted a 2010 Lexus. Not a 2008, this sucks! Lmao. There are schools in the inner city that has real "problems" like broken homes, parents on drugs, domestic violence, no food, no electricity, no clothes. The list can go on and on.
I didn't know PC West had that bad of problems... Deer Creek is horrible...

PCW is ghetttttto! Trust me but ofcourse MTV didn't show the REAL problems there Drugs, gang problems etc.
