i just want to say that i think that it is great that they get to be apart of the TAPP program! like them i am also a teen mom i have my 1st child when i was in the 10th grade and my 2nd child when i was in the 11th grade my life was really hard.but thinkfully i had the father of my kids to help me through it all.i droped out of high school for a year and went back and without the help of my family it would have never happend i went back and got my high scool diploma. And like mst teen moms i am glad that i have my kids wihout them i dont know who i would be today! i stand strong behind these girls and they should put school like that in every state.teen moms like myself should get a second chance to achieve
I attended TAPP in 2004 and graduated. It s a really great school for teen moms. The staff really does care about each and every girl. If it wasn't for TAPP I would have never gotten my high school diploma. They really do push you to succeed and be wonderful mothers to our children. So thank you TAPP for molding me into being a strong, independent mother.
The credits said it is ONE of the only schools of its kind in the country, it didnt say THE only one of its kind.
It is good that there is a school for pregnant girls to continue their education, however Tapp is not the only High schoo for pregnant girls in the whole country. In fact in Ft lauderdale Fl. there is a school for Pregnant teenagers and has been there for a long time, I'm 35 and when I was in high school this school existed... Tapp Is not the only high school for pregnant teens as they said in opening remarks.
I think this is wonderful. I am glad these girls are being given the chance to be all they can be!!!
im not even pregnant and i wanna go to this school!
Hi. My name is Emily and I am 14 years old. I am not a Teen mom. When I watched this show I realized that a school does exist for teen moms. I may not be a teen mom but I watch every show related to the subject....All I want to say is that it takes courage and whole lot of responsibility to take care of a baby, especially at a young age. TAPP from my POV when watching this, is a great school for more than one reason. Also to people who always think teen moms are hoes and other words, don't judge them for what you see on the outside or how you heard about it, Their story is what counts. I give kudos to every teen mom on the show. Thx, Emily ♥
I have to say that I find TAPP amazing...I became pregnant with my first child at 14, gave birth at 15, completed my sophomore year in high school while my son attended an outside daycare and later went onto an "alternative" high school after dropping out for 1 year. This alternative high school offered onsite daycare but that is pretty much where the similarities ended. TAPP personnel seems to really care about the girls finishing their education, my old high school really did not care at all. Ultimately I was able to graduate high school right after giving birth to my second child at 19 years old. I am currently in college working towards my Ph.D in Psychology and am hoping to one day work with teen moms. Kudos to TAPP and Louisville for offering such a school for these ladies and their children to succeed.
Wow calm down will you Amber? Geez, play nice, please.
i love this show not only i am a teen mom but i go to that school n it is wonderful they help u with a lot i love my 1 year old daughter she change me for the better and i would do anything for her if i wouldnt never had her i dont know where i would be so shot out to all the teen mom out there all i can say is never give up u can do i am a proud 17 year old mommy with a 1 year old princess all :) this way
it looks like it's a great program but it's just so sad to see that there are so many teen moms out there that this is needed. wut is america doing wrong about prevention?
If you actually watched the show, they have a breast feeding room. They do promote breast feeding but many of the young girls decide against it. NEGLECT? The children are right down the hallway! It's no different than a working woman taking off work for 6 weeks to have a baby and returning to work while the baby is in daycare. This is a wonderful program! What's sad is you would down a program designed for young women with children to succeed!
