Catelynn I would just like to say that you are so very amazing!!! I watch the show just to see you and Tyler. You are so very strong and could teach other teen moms a lot about life. I am just lost with words to explain how incredible I think you and your boyfriend are. Keep striving for the better things and life and in the future every tear will be worth it.
CATELYNN CATELYNN CATELYNN I hope you see my comment! I'm a 31 yr old birthmother. I placed my daughter for adoption in Sept. 2008. It was an open adoption. I chose the family. I see "Kylee" every 3-6 months and wish so bad you were able to visit your daughter the way I am mine. I have a great relationship with the adoptive family. Nothing that has been done can be changed, but I feel when you made your adoption plan the adoptive family should have trusted you from the start. Why start off a relationship with no trust? They should have told you they didn't trust you enough to tell you the last name!! Then you could have chosen another family who did trust you enough!! Why didn't your counselor tell you at that time you wouldn't know her last name??? When I looked at the profiles of family's wanting to adopt, then chose the family I wanted, since it was OPEN my counselor told me all I wanted to know about them before I officially chose them. Also I feel your counselor didn't counsel you well enough b/c if on the beach trip is the 1st time you ever had anyone tell you you're a very big, important person in your daughters life, thats crazy!! You're adoption social worker should have let you know how important of a person you are!! You will ALWAYS be your daughters birth mother, the one who gave her life, the one who loved this little girl so much you wanted to give her a better life than, at the time, you felt you could give!! You remembered your heartaches from when you were younger, and didn't want her to have to go through that! And the way you sometimes feel you could have parented her--I feel the same way sometimes. I have a good job now, etc... But if I would have kept her and parented her this opportunity may not have come about for this job. And don't listen to these people who are saying you are lazy. By watching the show I know as well as you do your home environment is no place to raise a baby. The episode where your step-dad said he would take the baby door-to-door begging for food, yea If I had my daughter and needed food I would do the same thing, but If I could stop that from happening, like giving her the great life we've given our daughter instead why even put them through that. I feel that it takes a very incredibly strong person to have a child let alone give it away for someone else to raise. Catelynn is so amazing just because of the fact that she realize that by keeping her child she would not be able to provide the child with the things that she really deserves. Carly didn't ask to be here but her parents are making it so that she can enjoy her life and the adoptive parents she been blessed with..
I think Farrah needs to grow up she is a bigger baby than Sophia is and she needs to realize that if she would have not had sex until she was mature enough to take care of a child than she wouldn't have to choose whats more important partying,or taking care of her child because apparently she isn't mature enough to take care of her child and be responsible.I feel so bad for her parents,But at the same time they allow her to do she is a spoiled brat.And Ryan needs to grow up too poor Maci she does like everything he doesn't even have a job and can't even take bentley anywhere.While she works and goes to school.
Catelynn and her boyfriend have a good relationship. Catelynn is my favorite. The other teen moms could learn something from catelynn and her boyfriend. I just love them both

I was 15 when I got pregnant and with my parents and my boyfriends disapproval we had no where to go! But adoption never crossed my mind, my daughter will soon be 6 and I truly cant imagine my life without her ! Anything is possible when you actually want to do it ! [[ This is my opinion not yours]]

farrah, farrah, farrah she just doesn't get it. #1 if she was my daughter i would slap that filthy mouth right off her face. #2 you can't be a good mom and want to party every night and lastly i would like to inform her that she needs to go back and watch the meeting she had with the guy at his apartment, it seemed to me that he was totally fine with her having a baby until she started talking like she could be home whenever she wanted and that being a mother wasn't gonna stop her from doing/partying whenever she wanted to, i mean he even asked her wasn't she worried about sophia, and she totally blowed it off like she was "a good mother" i think she showed him just how "good" of a mother she was because after that he blew her off. i mean i think alot of guys are okay with or at least open to young girls making a mistake and becoming a mother but they are way more impressed with a young mother that is actually a "mother" to her child and not just someone who gave birth and feels like they DESERVE to party the way that farrah does. boo to you farrah, because no matter what you think, miss priss, it is time to grow up...your life isn't over but the party is...

1)...i was just reading some of the reviews and most of these people talkin about "oh if your man enough to bring a kid into this world then you should be man enough to take care of it" that is some ********, usually they dont mean for for it to happen and maybe the girl has a allgeric reaction to condoms or they just dont wanna use one i do the same thing and i aint pregnant yet. 2) whoever said that if they were farrahs parents then they would report abandonment on her child is damn idiot i am 16 and i have been in trouble so many times and been threatened to taken in to state custody till i was 19 and that is is not somewhere you wanna be definely not somewhere i would stick my granddaughter or grandson. that **** will come back on her. just give it time
i think catelynn did a good thing she wanted what was best for carly and giving her up wasnt easy and her mom didnt make it any better. but she just has to understand that she lives in the south and when you live in the south you usually get pregnant at a young age get married and have more kids than you can handle and you are stuck there not doing very much with your life because not only do you have kids but you have a husband that dont let you do much at all. i think catelynn is a very intelligent girl to live in the south. where she got it from? i have no i idea because it seems that she is isnt selfish at all and she wanted of is best for carly than what her mom and she wanted. and tyler is a good guy to stay with her because i dont knw very many guys in the south that would give there kid up for a adoption because that is like their trademark "that is my woman with my kid". Catelynn's mom is a different story she is more of a woman that only cares about herself no offense to her. but my mom is the same way she says she cares and then lets you go do whatever with whoever. i absoulte this girl for her great intelligence ,unselfishness, and her strong attitude in what is best for her and others around her !

I know excactly where Catelynn is coming from. I have lived in such a bad home all my life and i know that if i was to get pregnant... it would probably be best to give her up.

yea i cant understand much of this either. yea they made a mistake and they handled it by giving carly a better opportunity in life.
i feel for catelynn but they did the right thig, carly would have just been a stressed un happy child. i thought abt giving my daughter up when i was pregnant but i have a great supporting family & my boyfriend & i could afford to raise a child, plus we knew the out come of sex.
