THis message is specific to RYAN AND MACI...actually more MACI...I have seen a few of these shows and I have NEVER once saw one were I can say the new mom "gets it". Maci gets it. She has decided to take a bad situation the best she could. She is such a good mom and HER mother must be very proud of how her little girl has stepped up to the plate. Ryan needs some work. I think he means well but he just has no clue how exhausting a baby can be and he acts like Maci should just do it and stop complaining and yet he's the first to run to her when the baby makes a peep...typical teenager...however, I think he has serious potential to be better just based on his dad's advice. His dad sees what is going on and is rying to stear Ryan in the right direction....anwya this is not a RYAN BASHING email...it's a MACI GOOD JOB one. She really tries and should be comended for her desire to make a better life for herself and her baby. She does not have that "sence of entitlment" that most kids that generation have. Anyway...seriosuly, GREAT JOB MACI! YOu are creating a wonderful example and role model of how a woman should be. :)

I have watched this show and read the comments. I myself am a child of a got pregnant at 16 parent. And my aunt and cousin did as well. I choose to wait to have sex until 17 and didn't get pregnant with our daughter until we were both 22. To those who say use birth control, my 2 children are the result of them failing. It happens NOTHING is given a 100% effectivness not even both people having what called permanent tubal ligations you are NOT given 100% do your research PLEASE before bashing these poor young people for choosing to keep thier babies or for carrying out their pregnancies and giving another couple a chance at having children through adoption. We are all human and were NOT made to be perfect. Mistakes happen. NONE of us would be here if they didn't. IVF is also not a perfect procedure. My neighbor went through 3 years of trying to conceive, stopped and 7 years later ended up with a baby when she thought she was starting menopause. That baby is a miracle for them. Did they plan it? No Were they ready for a baby? Not this time. So when is the RIGHT time for anyone? That is up to the couple or up to them to man or woman up together and figure it out. This show was intended for parents and teens to observe ALL that could and does happen surrounding this topic and I say kudos to all of them NO matter the choice they made together.

For everyone who commented on my comment, I did not mean to offend anyone. I have my opinions and you have yours. If you dont agree with me, then ignore it, if you want to take the advice then take it, if not, then dont. I dont care. And for all of you, my son was facing up and the doctor told me that all of these complications were going to happen, (THEY DIDNT) anyhow, come to find out, he just wanted me to have a c section and give me pitocin to get the hec out of there . He was going on vacation, thats right. So I understand in small cases c-sections might be used, but NOT because the baby is over 7 pounds, hello women have had bigger babies vaginally or because the baby is breached. Do some reasearch ladies. More then 80% of european women have their baby naturally and they have them fat and breached and flipped around and everything. There is something wrong with the medical industry when it comes to childbirth in the States. Did you know that child birth mortality is higher in America then in ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!! Watch the movie by Ricki Lake, the Business of being born..Cuban women have a better chance having a natural birth and the baby being born healthy and alive then American women and we have more technology. Its beacause in Cuba they allow the woman to have her baby. Maybe the technology is wrong and we need to go back to how things were before. Women know how to have their children, its when they are told that they cant do it alone that things go wrong. Please do research on this, study unassited childbirth, read stats in Europe and other countries and look into home midwives like Ina Mays Spiritual Midwifrey or Guide to Natural Childbirth. Go on youtube and watch videos. Decide for yourself. This is not up for discussion and I dont care what people think. This is what I believe and if women want to research and agree then awesome, if not then just ignore this comment and the previous one. I commented on the videos just like other people. Yeah "Jasmine", keep your absurd, rude comments to yourself. Are you a virgin? And if so, good job but that doesn't mean you don't make mistakes. You're implying that she's a slut but she got pregnant with her BOYFRIEND whom she had been with for a while, stupid. He obviously does care about her. The show is about pregnant teen girls and the paths they choose for their lives not them having sex and whether or not the guys care about them, so your comment was irrelevant and unnecessary.

I was 17. It's been seven years since I had my daughter and been married. I can totally relate to Maci and Ryan. A lot of people who thought that we weren't going to finish high school or even make it as a couple. We proved them wrong, we're both are doing what we like. Life itself is an obstacle and hard work. People can judge and say what they want, cause that's about all they can do. They can't have what we have.

It pisses me off when people like jazmin can't keep those ignorant comments to themselves. You have no idea what goes on in the lives of teen parents. so you are in no position to judge. I was even younger when I was pregnant. And it doesnt mean you don't respect yourself. that has nothing to do with it most of the time. These girls were 'in love'. but you know what it was a mistake on all of our parts. being so young and uneducated about this situation. and as you can clearly see most of these guys stood behind these girls and maned up. If they didn't care do you think they would even be there to begin with? Don't think so. I sugest you educate yourself on this stuff before you judge anyone.

yeah its not mean when the statistics show only 5% of teen couples with a baby last some people stay together some dont but its not only the guys so to put this all upon men is wrong because 5 times out of 10 its the women who leave.

As I was attempting to watch the finale I heard a cry on the baby monitor only to find out my 2 and a half month old definitely has a stomach virus. Just thought it's ironic since I just turned 20 eleven days after he was born and Maci was just saying how it really is a constant job, so I missed everything else she said while changing his diaper, pajamas, sheets, and comforting him back to sleep.. Day in the life of being a Mom. : ) I'm not complaining, though; I do love every second of my new job! I hope my son feels better by morning! Good luck to all those in similar situations!

i wish people like jasmine who know nothing abou guys caring or pregnancy would keep their mouthes closed instead. I am 18 and currently 26 weeks pregnant with my first child...a baby girl in fact. We are not stupid but sometimes things happen to make females stronger and better than what they already are. Your comment was more or so ignorant than stupid. If ou have nothing positive to say then stay the f*** off the comment board for a show called "16 and Pregnant." The name is self-explanatory.

maci & ryan r a favorite of mine... i do hope they r still together and stay together.... i hope all the babies r doin great... also mtv play all epsiodes again til the new ones come back on... this is a great show on mtv.. best 1 in a while... keep us updated thru-out years to come like their 1st birthdays or something... cuz i would love to see how caitlynn and tylers baby is doin... this show is touchin on somethins it makes me cry and mad on others.

mercedesdaughter i loved your comment im young but im not stupid most teens dont think of all the things to come they just think ok baby cry poop eat and its so much more so they dont think of when they start school or all the toys and clothes they'll want and when they start dating high school birthdays xmas, not to mention if they get sick or the night they want to sleep with you and you wake up to a wet back! its not fun waking up to "it wasnt me it was anthony"..lol[2 year old sister]
