Best of luck bro with staying on this path of life you now walk.I took the same path you did and lived a life of booze & drugs for many years and then I gave it all up on my 30th birthday. That was almost 23 years ago now and I still enjoy living a life without the booze & drugs. I just hope that one day you will be able to say the same. Stay sober bro and enjoy life to its fullest. Said it before, gonna say it again: I'm living proof that addicts can stop IF you have the willpower. I thought I was so invincible. Honestly, I knew my drug uses were getting more and more often and I knew I was becoming an addict. I feel stupid to say I honestly didn't care. I didn't care at the time but always thought, oh i can go to rehab when i wan't a career and a husband and kids, but NO NO NO NOOOOO of course it is NEVER that easy. Rehab can help but you have to remove yourself from the situation. Erase contacts of dealers, stop having friends that use. I thought "everyone uses something." WRONG. The people I was with were the ones who used and it is not the norm. Yes, sometimes taking the friends out of your life that use hurts and sometimes it will be all of your friends you take out because they all use. Something a lot of people don't get is that it is CHANGING your WHOLE life. The main point is of course to stop using. But you have to dig deep and figure out why you started using in the first place. Change pretty much everything in your life up, like I said before. But keep in mind that once you **** your body up like that, there is no going back. Yes, detox, rehab, therapy, positive environment can help, but the need, want, and craving in the back of your head that is registered in your brain will always want that fix.

Ok, first of all TxAggieBoy ... I bet the ex is from far back and, second of all shes an ex.. ofc she'll talk **** about him! I dont think Steve-O is "proud" of his drug use.. if he was proud , why the f would he sober up? I know a lot of guys like him, and man i cried when i saw this, im recognizeing every single step, not just in others but in me too ... Its so ******* sad seeing this great, sweet and awesome guy being so into deep. Lets hope he wont fall back to his old ways.... I was shocked watching this documentary. I did not realize to what extent Steve-O was going to in order to get high and I had no idea he was that bad into the drugs. I just wanted to say that he is inspirational because there may be someone out there in the world that watched his documentary and saw themselves in him and now realize it is never too late to get help. He may have saved many lives from this. I wish Steve-O nothing but the best of what this world has to offer and hope he stay drug free for the rest of his life. Thank you for sharing your story. Keep your head up and keep on fighting....
