Okay. It's just a reality show. Which means there's little-to-no reality. Mia is a sweetheart. And extremely talented. How many of us can play piano, guitar, and sax? Not to mention she can sing, and writes her own songs too. She is fabulous and stayed true to herself throughout the filming period. She even volunteered to help me with a song I was working on. So don't bash her if you haven't met her. ^-^

Does anyone else recall when Mia sung a Kanye song for the talent show? Isn't that the same arrangement that Chris from American Idol sang and claimed as his own idea long after Mia had already performed it. I like Mia. Mia is very level headed though naive and I look forward to her music as she matures and grows. Her lyrics have promise.

It does get a bit wearing for these characters to walk into one another dancing, playng the saxophone, playing the piano or just wandering through emply halls and discovering one another playing the guitar, etc - this is the basic Tyler, Mia syndrome and on occasion Jasmine. Somewhat glad they are all graduating so perhaps we can get beyond the drama of the dance studio, music room and halls glittered with pianos. I am hopeful that these characters will move on with their lives and new characters will be introduced, though somehow I still feel that Mia, Brian, Tyler and to some degree the others will be featured - whatever! Any news on their graduation - Malik, Shaakira, Mia and the beautiful Jasmine?

I love Mia, her lyrics are great and her voice is beautiful; I hope she transcends her music genre like Sarah McLachlan, because she has a lot to offer and it would be a shame for so many to miss it. As far as Malik being put up against Tyler, Malik entered the hip-hop competitions on his own, and he just isn't a hip hop dancer. He's excellent in classical and modern, you see it in his lines, turns, toe points, his body positioning...he can mimic the hip hop moves, but hip hop comes from within and he doesn't possess that attitude, the grit. His hip hop doesn't move me. Like the Bloc guy said, it looks choreographed.

clearlynoit I totally agree with you. Mia was made the star but, in my opinion the other kids had much more stage presence than her and they all were talented. We did not see the other 4 cast memberes talent displayed enuf. When they danced they either showed their heads, then feet a, just not good footage. I heard good singers sing in the school when they auditioned for parts during the episodes..I believe the cast was calculated by design to upstage Mia... And you did not have any singer to compare her to. I said all the time that she did not have just tht it factor and her music sound the same......But I guess there is a audience for everyone however I think the other cast were slighted and I believe eveyone who is objective have also concluded the same. Jasmine still rose to the ocassion as well as Malik. Shekerra did not get enuf face time. (how dissapointing) And Tyler has a charm and could be a good hip hop dancer but I hope he stays in the studio and sharpen his skill and if next season treat other better.... Just calling it as I see it......
