Thank You MTV and Real World for putting Ryans story out to the world!!!! I feel that alot of people has lossed sight of the fact that we are still a country at war and there are still men and women that put there lives on the line to defend the luxuries and freedoms that many people take for granted.... Ryan, from one soldier to another good luck and clear that fatal funnel.
im so proud of ryan,he's so awesome,not many understand what it is to go out and risk your life for someone else,thats what makes people like ryan sooo amazing,although i'll be leaving to the NAVY soon, i give congrats to Ryan being the best that he can be,much love to you*muah*

All of you people who have something bad to say about ryan and his situation i have a couple things to say to you. Are you in the army at all? if not then you need to grow up becuase aparently your not man enough to understand what he's going through.. its people like you that have no consideration for what the soldiers are doing to make your life better so.. until you go sign up and have been over their then dont say anything about his situation, when you have been over there thats when you can say whatever you want about ryans situation... I apreciate everything that ryan has done and i wish him the best luck along with the rest of the soldiers... including my brother :p thanks so.. much
It is really hard for me to watch this, because I joined the military in November. Now, I know that i have never been to war, but I am very scared. I know I will have to eventually most likely go over there, because like Ryan says in his interview he said that not a lot of people will join while there is a war. I just knew it was my calling. I feel so bad for him and my hope, faith, and love goes out to him.

we as people that have not served and who do NOT know exactly what goes on over seas, have no right to say "boo hoo, man up". any HUMAN would feel this way to be in ryan's situation. Quit being douchbags people!!!!!!!!

The soldiers do have someone to talk to when they come back, and it's not "quick to diagnose". Any new deployment for any soldier, male or female, volunteering or not it is going to be hard and emotional. Not only for the soldier, but the family aswell. The soldier doesn't want to be there. And if they DO want to be there, other than the fact to honor and serve, maybe they need to reason their morals. It ISN'T an easy thing, whether it's your 1st deploy or your 4th no one should judge him for being upset.

You signed up knowing there is a chance you are going to war, its not a secret, they don't hide it from you...Even in the time of NO war there's always a chance, as a solider he should buck up and deal with it. Nothing against Ryan... but his lil Army buddy who keeps talking about how BadAss Ryan is for having an ARCOM " the 6th highest combat declaration" is a "Blue Falcon" for even saying that. An ARCOM is given out like candy durring combat times a unit will give them to soldiers who are ETSing or PCSing as long as they were not dumbS%$#$. But not to take away from Ryan he very well just may have gotten one while in theater for X-amount of patrols or for doing a "Rakkasan" job, but either way ARCOMs are not "combat" awards and anyone over PV1 can tell you this. So Ryan besides staying low and keeping your feet moving.. tell your dork buddy to knock it off and stop making you sound like an ID-10T (idiot) . 3rd BAT Rakkasans would love to retrain him on his knowledge of Awards and Decorations.
