The team arrives in Austin and has their first rehearsal for the South By Southwest festival.
These guys do a great job an apparently have a great time doing the show. They bring an innocence and honsety that has been lost today. Most shows, especially on this network are offensive by nature. This show is uplifting, fun and a joy to watch. I hope to see many more seasons and cannot wait for the next new show.
Love this show! So funny and original! Why not?? What's with all the pity, you naysayers? No free choice for people with disabilities? Bah. Show is awesome, keep it on! Jeremy, you are a supercharmer. And Susan, when she told that band their outfits were a total turnoff....so hilarious.
This show is letting these people live out their jounrlism/music dreams.I watch it everyweek.
i dont care wat anyone says this show kicks ass:] best show on mtv!
Dear MTV, Your show "How's Your News?" is deeply offensive to me. I feel it is setting disabled people up for ridicule. Though you may think its not serious and merely a harmless and fun show, it's actually encouraging harassment for disable people. I'm sure the cast on the show enjoys having their own show, but you very well know that when people watch they are making fun of them. What makes it worse is that they most likely don't know they are being laughed at. I am surprised you would even consider running this show. You are a channel that attracts young people. That's why you have PSAs about voting and taking care of the earth, you try to get young viewers involved in the country. If you think that making fun of disabled people is something that Americans should support you are very wrong. You are representing Americans in a very negative way. As an American I do not stand for belittling others. I would appreciate it if you would consider what I said and please do something about it. Either revise the show and make it positive and not one that makes fun of mentally and physically disabled people, or just remove it. Thanks,
I have been a big fan of HYN for years and am so excited that I get to see you all every week! Thanks, MTV. HYN delivers interviews like no one else on tv-- Really, who would you rather see interview a "celebrity"? Ryan Seacrest or Jeremy and Sue? Which one is more real? HYN wins hands down every time. It's not degrading to people with disabilities-- it's empowering. People with disabilities don't need to hide away, or be hidden. They have hopes and dreams, just like everyone else: they laugh, have bad days, get angry get inspired-- just like EVERYONE ELSE. I will be watching every week. Thanks, HYN! You guys really "rock the f*$%$in' house"--- like Sue said!
i think that this show is awesome! i think its super that you have given these special people a chance in life.... they are so intelligent and cute! great wardrobe as well!
hey knm, tell that to the cast. Obviousy these guys enjoy life more than you do. This show is amazing, and the cast is an inspiration for positivity for me everyday. Your comment is degrading.
This is the most degrading show on tv right now.It should be taken off the air. You people should be ashamed of yourself.
Hows Your News is the best reality show on tv. You get more insight from the celebrities that they interview through each reporters candor and love of life. Love Jeremy & Bobby and Brendan you rock.
I love you Jeremy!
This is the best show on television. Refreshing, daring and new. Keep it up MTV! Susan Harrington for President!
AWESOME show. This is an incredible breakthrough, akin to desegregation. Many thanks for producing this, true guts all the way, especially the TEAM!!! Coley, you obviously don't know people with disabilities. It's people like you who need further education about humanity...so watch the show. Even better, get to know some people in your neighborhood with disabilities and hopefully you'll realize that life is the same for us all. The separation you advocate by implying fragility in people with disabilities...unbelievably naive and disrespectful. That type of thinking is what has powered the separation of these unique individuals from society.
LOL. I love this show!!!
Dear Coley, You're right. Celebrity can be a terrible burden. The streets of Hollywood and Broadway are littered with the alcohol and drug riddled bodies of one time stars who could not handle the fame. Should we ban stars all together. The last I looked Brittany Spears, Dana Plato, Lindsay Lohan did not have disabilities. These young people on "How's Your News" have just as much right and need to take risk, possibly win big and yes, fall flat on their @$$. Yours is a good heart to be concerned about their welfare so kep watching to make sure they get their just desserts.
I love this show!! it is amazing and hilarious! they say the funniest things! i watch every episode!! so keep them comin! go How's Your News!
Fantastic show! Coley, I understand and honor your concern, but I have to say it's not merited here. I've worked with folks with disabilities. A soft form of discrimination is to shelter them, to treat them as people who are less dynamic, less complex, less rebellious, less fun-loving, less anything, than "normal" people. How's Your News has existed for ten years. It was founded at a camp for folks with disabilities and the current producer has known the cast for over ten years. The cast are in on the joke. They have a sense of humor about themselves and each other. And, trust me, they are having the time of their lives. I encourage you to watch and laugh along with the cast and their guests at the silliness, fun, and weirdness of life that the show celebrates. Enjoy!
Coley-- If you would actually watch the show you would see that it is not offensive at all. They are having the time of their life and they love what they are doing and by you not watching the show your taking the most important thing in their life away from them because if people don't watch they don't get to do another season. If you knew anything at all about disabled individuals you would know that they need something like this to keep them social and most important happy. To Hows your news cast and crew-- I think it is amazing what you are doing,PLEASE keep making this show it is my favorite show on MTV!!!
I cannot believe that MTV would actually air a show that has a cast made up of people with mental disabilities. They already have a hard enough life and if you think this would make it better you are totally wrong, dealing with the every day hassles that tv life has could be detrimental to their health. I find this show very offending, these people already have enough to deal with they don't need crap like this to make things harder for them. I do not ever plan on watching this show.
Man do they rock the roof off!! AWESOME SONGS and dance moves. I'd follow these guys anywhere!
