Cher's parents are concerned that their daughter won't be able to survive on her own when she leaves the nest for college. That is why they are sending her to the jungles of Panama in hopes she'll return home more independent.

Wtf, These girls that the exiled girls get help from and are supposed to follow are so damn harsh, especially this girl. I feel for Cher, she's trying, and the work IS hard. I don't think the embera people get that most teens don't work that hard on a daily basis. Cher is doing a good job at trying to adapt and all without her parents, the embera people could be alittle more tolerant. Cher and all the others are supposed to adapt to their culture, but they aren't expected to adapt to ours..>WTF!!!!!

By saying I am not as spoiled as these kids... I'm not trying to sound snobby cause I mean I'm not even close to rich and I do have a job while juggling school, I do work for money it doesn't get handed to me. I just don't want anyone coming on here and thinking I sound all snobby and snooty.

I know I'm not as spoiled as these kids on exiled. But sometimes I think that Americans are very spoiled to live in the US and we really don't have to work as hard as people in other countries. Anyways sometimes I wish that I didn't live here but lived you know in Morroco or somewhere like that so that I really could appreciate the true value of working to survive and keep your family and friends surviving.

MTV you guys are doing a great job with this show. It was about time for this spoiled little girl to see the real world. My only complain is that I'm from Panama and you guys just showed the Jungle side of my country. People will have the perception that Panama is nothing but jungle and that is not true. Panama city is one of the best looking cities of Central and South America.
