I don't have a problem with people who are critical of consumer culture, I think that is healthy. What I do have problem with is this man who is exploiting people by charging them money to teach them "native ways." I guess that if these people are gullible enough to believe his crap (or dump if you will) then who cares. But what about the people whose culture this guy is trying to sell? Indigenous people aren't humorless, self righteous weirdos who only wear earth tones and cry about clams. Get your own culture and quit misrepresenting other peoples.
I can understand what they mean about the clams. I would feel bad for cookin the poor things alive plus they did eat a lot of them. If you take too much you can effect the ecosystem of the lake. They may be odd but atleast they are doing sumthin that is important to them even if its hard. It seems most ppl do things the easy way, even if its wrong.
