Politics or not, I am absolutely disgusted with russell Brand's performance of idiocy last night. He was Crude and disrespectful. I am so disapointed in MTV for asking him to host the show last night, It really showed MTV's true colors. MTV went into this knowing that Russell Brand was fired in 2001 from Englands MTV for dressing up as Osama Binladen the day after 9/11...completely mocking and disrespecting the United states. WAY TO GO MTV! VERY PATRIOTIC...sure are teaching the youth of america, and at such a crucial time. I hope this bites you in the A**. And way to go Jordan Sparks, at least someone in the younge Hollywood has a head on their shoulders and isn't afraid so say something when enough is enough

MTV, I am absolutely astonished with your choice of host for the 25th Video Music Awards. The host of tonight’s show was absolutely repulsive, dense, tactless, and just a plane *******. I cannot believe that you had such a person be the host of such a great night of music, dancing, and amazing performances. I am livid about the comments that he made about American politics. In America we do have freedom of speech but it is not okay to bash one political party/person in such a public setting. It is very upsetting to watch and listen to someone banter on and on about people and situations that should be private situations. I feel horrible for some of the people that Mr. Brand slaughtered with his words, President Bush, The Jonas Brothers, Sara Palin, Bristol Palin and her boyfriend. It was embarrassing to watch. If I was Obama I would be ashamed and embarrassed if I had a vulgar and offensive person endorsing me on MTV. This year should have been a exciting and happy night full of comebacks and impressive performances. Next time, use your brain MTV.

I am really disgusted with his comments while he hosted the vma awards. I am 39 yrs old and have watched mtv since the beginning. I watched tonight with my children and want to let your company know we won't watch again. Politics is not your business.

This is the fantastic English comedian russell brand. He is loved by 99.9% of British women, and quite the heart throb, behaving very like jack sparrow. He is a master of the english language and utterly gorgeous. Hurry up and do the awards russ, so you can come back to blighty! x p.s his hair is only big on special occasions, the rest of the time it is quite subdued.

who is this tool? i thought mtv usually gets funny people to host. and what's up with the commercial with him where he talks about the material world being an illusion and some other BS. great, it sounds like he's preachy. good luck with your message dude
