Age isn't the issue. The issue is that she just isn't right for the part. She doesn't convey the kind of spunk, not to mention sex appeal, that Elle is supposed to have. And her acting seems forced, as if she knows she isn't right for the part and is trying too hard. Aside from that, during the course of the weeks of the show her personality changed. She started out being kind of the older sister, then as she began to think she could win her ego ran away with her. The most ridiculous thing was when she criticized Rhiannon for saying that she wasnt going home, then said the say thing herself about 20 times in the next 2 shows. When she called the other contestants "little girls" she just sounded bitter. And if she's 28 and never been on Broadway, who's fault is that?

the winner is the new elle woods on broadway. Bailey is going to be there for awhile. I mostly can't wait to see Rhiannon in the Touring Cast when they come to Dallas next year.

Yes she is 22-23 at the beginning of the show, but this show spans out all through law school so she has to play younger and the law school graduate. So she is perfect. I am rooting for her hands down because she is the underdog and also the best by far vocally and acting, and she can pull off the dancing. Rhiannon is fun but SUCKS at singing and Bailey is pretty good. Autumn deserves it but Bailey will probably get it because of her fan base

no. Autumn WAS in the touring cast of Little Women, but that was a long time ago. However, she IS expected to be in the broadway musical "Vote!" But that doesn't mean she didn't win the competition, since the winner only gets a two week contract. She STILL might be the winner.

I LOVE AUTUMN!!!!!! But i know she doesn't win the show because she is in the touring cast of Little Women the musical as Beth right now i think if im wrong and i hope im wrong and she wins but if im right then Bailey deserves to win as well!!!!!!

i think that autumn does look young for 28 i mean my mom is like 30 and all my friends ask is thats my grandma.but i think the reason some ppl think that autumn looks too old 4 the part is that her jawline makes her more sophisticted in an older way but i think she is very young. i mean laura bell bundy is like what in her late 20's just like autumn but i think some of u r jealous because autumn looks prettier than some of u but she is an very attractive lady and also she is very talented and seems down to earth. unlike some ppl who all they do in thier late 20's is drink and smoke and go to jail.im very proud of autumn because she dont care if anybody says that she's too old or she doesn't look the part. P.S. just cause some ppl hav more experience than others doesn't mean that they r too old.also if i was in autumns age group i would totally date her.lol!!

I think Autumn looks young for her age; she has kind of a bright, perky charm that's adorable. She's also got kind of a small figure that would help her pull of being younger. And there's not that much difference (I think) between 28 and 23. Anyway, not so much that it would show onstage. A lot of age lines wash out under the lights, you know! :-)

rember when your on stage , the audience cant really see you face, no ones gonna know shes a few years to old even if your sitting in the first row. When sweenytodd was on broadway they had a 30 year old playing johanna whos supposed to be 16.

I'm 30 and I think Autumn looks to old. Elle is supposed to be in her early 20's. If Autumn looked younger than her actual age it wouldn't matter but she doesn't. Not to mention she takes the sex appeal out of the character also. This girl doesn't know how to dance without looking like a dork trying to dance. She can sing but so could alot of the other girls.

I agree. She's a broadway star, BUT not to play Elle Woods. Sure she's got the voice and the acting skills but i think she lacks Elle Woods' personality.

her voice is like butter. its very pleasing to listen to. ESPECIALLY since she knows how to belt correctly, unlike a couple of these girls. her note placement is simply fantastic, VERY dead-on. and she clearly knows how to breath from her diaphragm. unlike singing, dancing can be easily worked out over a few months of work.

Elle is NOT in her mid-20s. She is a recent college graduate! That means she's no older than 22-23! Autumn does look and act much older than a 22-23 year old. However, I think her maturity could bring something new to the part, and her singing is great. I still love Rhiannon though :).

And to comment on ATOUCHOFXXINSANITY'S post, I completely agree! However many people blogged that Autumn looks too old to play "Elle", y'all are crazy! And in the famous words of Elle "I object!" I'm 28 and was offended that all you tweens think that 28 is old! Elle, as a matter of fact, is in her mid twenties in the film and stage version. That's why Lauren got the boot last week. Not because she wasn't talented.
