And no, race shouldn't be a factor and i'm sick of anyone who makes it a factor. I only can tolerate people who don't care about race, they may notice race but they don't really care and are not racist. I can always tell who is truly not racist when I meet them if they are not white by the way they act towards me. And I can tell what white people are racist by the way I see them act around other races if I observe them a little while . I've always gone out of my way to smile at black people in particular, that are around me in public. This sounds like something someone may twist and call "reverse racism" or something along those lines, but I do it for reason of paranoia that if i'm feeling ****** that day, I don't take it out on the wrong people and they think the wrong things. Ok, i'm done with my rant.

You know what, I didn't know Texas considered themselves the "dirty south" but here in GA, we do and blacks and whites hang out all the time and there are plenty of white people as you put it that "act black" and if they are cool, black people don't mind. It's a compliment to them since they started all that stuff. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. And another thing, this girl wasn't too bad, but it's kinda sad that she gets praised so much as a "non bratty rich girl" compared to others. It's sad that there are worse out there. This girl is still a little overboard in my eyes. I mean, I don't expect much from kids who don't ever get told no but it's sad that this isn't as bad as it gets, if that makes sense. She's not that bad but there shouldn't be as bad as some of these others. She's plenty self absorbed and that's enough, I don't need to see them cussing their parents out when they get told no or almost told no and then their parents giving in, etc like the other ones. But....it's obvious this girl was told no somewhere. Because she does respect her parents somewhat. It's obvious she has morals, unlike a lot of these other girls appear on these shows.

I'd definally take a car over grills. As far as the race card is concerned i'm african american and i have tons of white friends and i'm also preppy as far as the girl in the show who got the grills it doesn't matter race shouldn't be a factor to it just cause she wanted grills who cares. people should be able to be or do what ever they want without being judging them.

Yeah, I would've rather had a car also. But Haley was being...Haley. She wasn't bratty at all and it made it easier to watch and I was happy for everything she was able to get. You never saw her cussing her parents out or ANYTHING like that...if she did all that AND THEN tried to act black, then that's twisted. But she was humble and treated everybody with respect. One of her best friend's was black and her escort was too. She wasn't trying to be anything!

I'm so sick and tired of these white kids trying to act black! That Haley chick Sweet 16 with her getting a grill from Paul Wall for her birthday and the bouncing hydrolic cars coming down the street, give me a break! All of the stuff that they are trying to do now is what black people starting in the hood many, many years ago. You are NOT BLACK!
