Nicky's goal of World Champ is within his reach.
All I can say is that motoGP is the greatest sport on earth. International, unbelievably exciting and most certainly unpredictable. Nicky Hayden is definitely a huge contributor to the sport and I couldn't visualize the it without him. Thanks to MTV for posting this video and along with Nicky for allowing insight into his racing career. I was spellbound by this documentary. Frankie Bishop Chiang-Rai, Thailand
nicky.............. you are so cute.......... please live in mtv asia
It's good to see MotoGP getting some "mainstream" exposure. These riders are incredible athletes that have all of the focus of a pro golfer, stamina of a marathon runner with the precision of a brain surgeon. Every movement of every part of the riders body on that bike counts in 10ths and 100ths of seconds, or worse a crash. For perspective: a typical 4 cyclinder compact car runs around 200 horsepower but weighs probably 10 times as much if not more. A stock 1000cc sportbike off the showroom floor can run around 180hp, but weighs probably about 50-60% more then a MotoGP bike. These riders turn left, AND right at these break-neck speeds with silly amounts of power underneath them. There are no "yellow flags" to stop and catch their breath, no water bottles handed in through a window net or handed to them as they ride down the road. The only thing between them and the pavement: very expensive leathers and helmets. There are no roll cages, this is speed as raw as it gets. I've done some "trackdays". You go out with your buddies, rent a track and ride all day wishing you were even half as fast as these guys. When we get done with a day of hard riding, you want to pass out. The next day you are sore, tired, you feel like you just did 4 rounds with Mike Tyson but you still have all of your ear. Riding that bike is work, and wrestling one of those machines despite all of the electronics must be like doing an Iron Man on a Sunday afternoon. Nicky, thanks for bringing the #1 plate home last year. We can't wait to see you do it again soon! I'll see ya in Indy in September!!!

i am from owensboro...and didn't know how big this sport was overseas until my parents moved across the street from tommy hayden and i started to learn a little about the sport. these boys are super nice and really down to earth. on a side note, its nice that they FINALLY put people from kentucky with all their teeth and who don't sport moo-moos or wear cut-off shorts.
