You guys don't even know what the heck you're talking about. Jaime All Over was Jason's song, and he was nice enough to contribute it to Mayday Parade. But they rarely gave him credit for the things he did, so he left I believe. That, plus a couple of personal things. Ultimately, without Jason, Mayday Parade as a whole would definitely not be as far up and successful as it is today. It became big partially because of the unique Derek/Jason double vocals (that made my heart melt) and the lyrics that was way better than the surface bull from other mainstream radio bands. Now that Jason's gone, Mayday's original fans will notice the difference and probably try out Go Radio. It's too bad Mayday's new mindless zombie girl crush fans won't know about the genius that is Jason Lancaster, he's not even mentioned in any of Mayday's bio's. Not even a "Jason used to be in our band, but he left in 07 (::cough::andhewrotemostofoursongsforus::cough::)" Disappointing.

yea so i think jason and his sister should stop b!tching about this. if you didnt want them to be using ur lyrics then dont leave the band in the middle of a tour. and stop ragging on derek hes amazing i dont care what anybody has to say. if you dont like him then dont listen simple. stop crying about it and move on nobody cares.

Actually I've seen Mayday many times live, and they've done nothing but impress me. And I think it's funny how your fighting over these stupids comments by people they obviously have no clue what their talking about. If you don't like the music, then don't listen.. it's very easy, and theres no need to hate on other people who like the music. I don't give a **** what anyone has to say about MP, I'll always love them.

It shouldn't be about ragging on Derek or anything stupid like that...the point is that they are lip syncing parts of the song that are by other people. Which is pretty stupid. And yes, their music is amazing, and so are the lyrics. It's too early to tell how they will be on their next album until it's out. I personally don't think it will even come close...without Jason's vocals and lyrics we are left with a guy with an average voice, and it's unknown how the lyrics will turn out. I do know that Derek states in a myspace blog that he's getting the same feeling as when they were writing the last album, except he didn't write much so that is a stupid statement. I hope it's good and I remain a MP fan, but it's just won't be the same, and that's fact. Also Erin the vocals you did on Forever My Father are absolutely breathtaking.

You're not raggin on Derek? Of course you are, go back and read Erins original post. Derek Sanders is one of the most humble and genuine people you'll ever meet in this world. If you don't like Mayday without Jason then don't listen to them. Jason decided to leave the band of his own accord - get over it.

i agreee with you erin. i've been a huge mayday fan for a good long while but the second i heard jason was no longer going to be with the band it was bad news for me... i saw them live this past feb without jason and i was reeeeeal tempted to fight my way onto the stage and sing jason's parts as jason would because the notes were all different and didnt sound too great as if they were being attempted yet executed poorly... and the beautiful harmonies were no longer there, which is a big part of what turned me on to mayday in the first place. it was almost like i was watching a cover band of my favorite band. dont get me wrong, theyre still one of my favorite bands to listen to for the melodic riffs, catchy hooks and great vocal harmonies but thats from my stereo so i can hear the songs as they were intended to be heard, with jason lancaster. and by the way, the "GO RADIO crowd" isn't "ragging on derek," we're just stating obvious facts. you get furthest in this life by remaining humble, which is why GO RADIO is on the rise.

Jason decides to leave the band (leaving MP in a lurch in the middle of a tour) and now all the Go Radio crowd knows to do is rag on Derek...classy, huh?
