oh i would love to do that. Im a girly girl but I love the outdoors. I also would love to go to Alaska. I love how strong and motivated Amanda is. Natalie is way way way to whiny. The note she wrote for Amanda though was very nice.

It's not that we didn't want to go. We were scared & it was something totally new & out of our comfort zone. Neither of us had ever been camping, & being sent to Alaska for a month with only a week to train seemed terrifying. To the comment below- I did use biodegradeable soap (Dr. Bronner's) given to me by Erik, my Made coach. I would go on an Alaskan expedition again in a heart beat, I would just pray to God that there would be better weather than what we had when I had gone. There were so many moments you don't see; like the MANY times when backpacking that I fell into thigh high mud with a 55 lb pack on my back. Of course little things like the constant rain, everything of mine being soaked in 40-50 degree weather, & just being out of my comfort zone is going to upset me. Keep in mind, this hour long episode was cut down from over hundreds of hours of taping (you are only going to see mine & Natalies ultimate highs & lows) I DID learn a lot from this experience though & do not regret it one bit. :-)

I wanted to go on the Alaskan expedition so badly this summer...but i didnt have enough money..they dont want to go and they get to go for free.

Love this episode, except for the whole leadership idea. You go outdoors to let GO of society and social ranking, not to become a leader! Also, there is bio-degradable shampoo and soap, I use then when I'm outdoors. So you CAN wash your hair, otherwise a REAL wilderness trip would become unbearable.
