Lauren did have friends there. Trey, Dieter and Stephen. She wasn't friends with any of the girls though.

Why did Lauren even go? Probably just because Stephen was going. She should have known he was gonna spent the majority of his time with Kristin because Kristin actually knows how to laugh, have fun, and try new things. If LC wanted to sit in a chair and read fashion mags she might as well have stayed home and went shopping with Lo. She would have had so much more fun.
