Kate Nash's plastic and polyester style has been hailed as fresh, clever and witty. In fact, her sound has been extrapolated from early 70's British television and sounds as unremarkable as the sound track to the Benny Hill show, but not as funny. In fact her style is about as fashionable as a matching brown stove and refrigerator combo with the yellow and orange flowered linoleum. Her delivery consists of two notes sung see-saw style and will make you jab a fondue fork into your eyeball if you listen to it long enough. Having grown up in the seventies, I still to this day, hate turtlenecks, polyester clothes and fall-colored appliances. This cd is a good buy if you have that nerdy, Thelma from Scooby Doo retro sort of sensibility. But even if you do, there are better, more stylish choices than this selection . It's like those old pair of shoes your dad has from the seventies that, no matter how much you buff them or try to polish them, they're still old, still dated and better off left in the back of the closet.

This song is absolutely brilliant, her lyrics are ace. The whole album is really good, especially with songs like, Merry Happy, Pumpkin Soup, Mariella, Birds, The Nicest Things, We Get On, etc.
