Paul longs to become a police officer, but his love for food and video games are holding him back. Will he be able to lose the weight and achieve his goal?
Yari was awesome - Paul was just lazy
wow he was very resistant! next time don't sign up for a show, if you don't want to participate!
He is actually a pretty attractive man without the fat. Good job Paul and Yari!
If Yari was my trainer I should train every single day as long as I can just to spend time with that princess.l
Typical ***** just rude as *****!

To those who keep saying she was a bad trainer. She is THERE to kick his ****, not be his emotional support. Paul obviously lived most of his life in comfort. and for him to want to be a POLICE offer? you think their going to hold his hand while he's carrying those heavy bags? NO. She had to teach him to push himself even when he believed his body could no longer go on. and i believe that by her asking her parents to join , and not just saying "***** it" whn he texted her to quit. THAT was her way of helping him mentally.
GOOD JOB.
This episode was so exciting!! Congrats Paul :DD
Completely agree! I was seeing a trainer at my university, and she just could not connect with me emotionally. I ended up feeling more comfortable with another, and I went to him for advice. She got very angry and told me to disregard what he said. I told her that wasn't respectful and I felt that his advice was more realistically applicable for me. She asked me why I was worried about respecting him and I told her because I would want to be respected and liked if I were an expert in my field. She told me I needed to have a consultation with a mental health professional if I was "worried about being liked by others." Come to find out, not many people in her department like her at all...shocker. I am glad I don't see her anymore. Some people are good with the textbook part, but have NO bedside manner and no clue how to speak to/relate to people with different backgrounds and lives.000a000a000a000a000a000a000a000a000a000a
Yari has no technique for those who don't respond to "c'mon, just push harder!" Notice he say "***** you", bad sign. He's not speaking from physical pain (which would be fine, common) He's speaking to her personally, her lack of understanding of how he feels. "Hardcore" motivation techniques work on a basis of some level of understanding between trainer and trainee. First thing she comes in and commands "You should be really excited right now." He's excited. His emotions are expressed subtly (his personality is common to the law enforcement and military community). She continues berating his way of expressing himself, always sarcastically. She talks well, she knows the philosophy behind Paul's "emtional baggage, family issues, letting go, etc." but she's still learning to apply them, escepially to amotivaional situations with understated personalities. Her own fear of failing gets in the way, if she could do it for him just to get it done, she would. She continually tries to "help" him by trying to do it for him, she's not ready to let him learn and grow. She's only ready to see success. Difficult to watch for Paul's sake, but Yari and he will both learn from this.
Yari says "Paul, I'm not here to be your enemy." That's a surprise, cause so far you have shown absolutely no understanding of amotivational persons, and subtly emotionally expressive people (who make up the law enforcement and military community).
Good work Paul, Yari isn't the best trainer. She has a lot to learn.
They really had to show him puking? Ew...
Wow the guys look so handsome in the end! :D
Wow! why is that the guys look so handsome in the end! like totally different! =^.^=

I love this show and all my friends love it too, specially the ones in Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Argentina!!! I cant wait for the next episode to come out!!! Peace out peeps!
Trainers are helpful. Have you ever been on a diet? It's so much more helpful to lose weight if someone's there helping you. Besides, being on this show will give people motivation to lose the weight.
