Gabrielle's mother doesn't want her to lose weight. She may think she wants her to but deep down she doesn't because her daughter being overweight makes her feel better about herself and her own appearance. Otherwise she wouldn't break her balls to work and do housework while going through this process. It's really sad to watch. And to say she wants her to be perfect -- that's pathetic. If I were Gabrielle I'd get the hell away from her mother as soon as possible before she totally messes up her head.
