I don't know if everyone REALLY gets this song. From a political standpoint, Eminem is angry with Bush in regards to many issues (example: tax cuts and the war in Iraq). His whole point is for people to "stand" with him. Meaning he wants everyone to vote with him in masses. This will right the wrongs that Bush and other political leaders have created. He just wants people to pay attention to your rights being taken away and vote. Voting is the only way "we the people" have to correct any political injustices. This means from the bottom up. Vote for your City Council, Mayor, Congressman, Governor, Senator, and President. Just Vote! We have a voice when we vote. We have proven what we can do in the last Presidential election. Go Obama!!!

First things first. Chill ambaran, my little conservative homie, you're getting so far over on the right wing you might fall off. I am a conservative and as such I believe in conserving the right everyone has to an opinion even if it doesn't match my own. That being said, I have no desire to deal with vomit opinions. First of all, we aren't technically in a war, we are actually in a period known as reconstruction which by the way we did with both German and Japan. If you will be so kind as to check, we still have military bases in both countries so we still have military presence there. That being the case, since it seems that everyone sees Iraq as this awesome supply of oil (which it isn') I guess we fought Japan and Germany for sushi and beer? We are allied with Saudi Arabi and Kawait because of oil, remember the Gulf War was started because Saddam wanted more oil rights so he attacked the smaller country which had more oil. Environmental issues have existed for a long time. Theodore Roosevelt was the first to recognize we needed to conserve the environment Just a thought, what good is it to cut carbon output when we are overdeveloping destroying the filter for the carbon? If cut output by 1/2 and cut the filter by 3/4 you just doubled the problem (use a calculator). Racism? It continues to exist because too many people are willing to let it live. It's used too much and it's called upon like some pagan god when things don't go the way they are believed they should be. "Tax cuts for the rich" whine whine whine whine whine. The tax rate for the wealthy in this country is in excess of a quarter of their income. If a person making 400 dollars a week were to pay the same tax rate they would be taking home only 300 that's not including their insurance, SS tax, etc. Then they would be taking home closer to 200. The lower tax bracket was dropped by 5 percentage points and by 3 percentage points on the upper. 100,000 income is smaller than 1,000,000 of course 3% of 1 million will be greater than 5% of a thousand. It's math. The cost of living is directly related to the cost of goods. The government does not dictate those things or we would be in a socialist government because the government would be dictating everything. Has no one heard or read the Constitution? We are free in this country, have some responsibility to make the society work. That would include businesses. Odd how the same problems were going on (other than a war) in the Clinton era and he was getting serviced by an intern on government time in the government office (which would mean on taxpayer money) and liberals were happy but conservatives were mad, then during Bush's era liberals were bad but conservatives were happy. Odd how that works, huh? Couple of final points: 1. Obama is half black half white just like I am half Asian half Caucasian, I am not Asian alone. Stop calling him the first black president. He is the president of the United States regardless of color or party. Hope for his success because his failure is our suffering and his success is our wellbeing. 2. If you really are serious about making a change in the way that the government runs, start paying attention to politics and not to who in Hollywood is dating who. More people vote and pay attention to American Idol than pay attention to what their Congressman/woman are doing. The president asks Congress, he doesn't have power by himself. Congress has been blaming presidents for their own shortcomings for well over 200 years. I better stop before I fill the page.
completely agree. although he is a good rapper his political views are extremely one-sided and come through in his songs very obnoxiously. his music is geared towards people from lowerclass neighborhoods like where he grew up in detroit. if he hates tax cuts and rich people so much why is he so rich and not giving anything back to the community where he grew up? and meow town, give me a break enviromental problems, my a**. even if you could prove that they exist they are in no way bush's fault or the united states'. secondly tax cuts are not only for the rich but for everyone. even the lazy fat a**es on welfare are reaping these benefits. as for the war i highly doubt an un-patriotic liberal like you is in the armed forces. if you're not then don't talk about a war in which you're not involved in. if someone in your family is in iraq fighting right now don't forget it was their decision. and because they love their country more than you could ever imagine doesnt mean they are wrong. as for obama (by the way who can show me his u.s. birth certificate?) is a douche who is out to destroy human dignity and whatever moral values remain in our country. i hope for some miracle that by jan 20'th he wont have the opportunity to desecrate the american presidency.

People are fed up with the war- and fear-mongering Bush administration. This video is 4 years old and we're STILL dealing with the issues... the never-ending war, environmental problems, racism, tax cuts for the rich, and average families not able to make ends meet. Change is about to come in the form of a new President Barack Obama.

I think the point the video is trying to make is that the soldier came back from war to his family and was sent right back out. Not just that he's going to war.
