Shallon convinces Victoria and Nikki to spend a weekend at the Jersey Shore, but someone from Shallon's past threatens the girls' fun.
mesopotamia (iraq/syria) and constantinople (turkey) were NEVER "taken over" by Jews. what she said is more ignorant and uneducated than what the bald guy said. eww!
And the episode doesn't work. What a surprise.
i disagree with everyone that is being negative towards this show.. these girls remind me of real people i know. this show is fresh.. the location isn't fresh but the cast is! who really gets sick of seeing ny? i know it seems a lot like sex and the city but it's not. i think it's definitely it's own show and Shallon make me laugh. Vignesh-- i agree.. cut the drama... i think that where some popular reality shows fail to do is chose to film people who live completely realistic lifestyles. these girls do live ideal lifestyles for a young age but these are all working girls and that says a lot on its own
Ugh why is this not working?
Victoria.. your super hot..
same
I can't wait for season 2!! I don't think we've seen enough!!!
I seriously don't think there needs to be DRAMA in every episode. A simple storyline about a bunch of girlfriends and their lives doesn't have to revolve around girl fights, plotting and conniving, sleeping with boys etc. I like the scenes with Gurj and Klo just walking around NYC. Gurj is definitely the breakout star of this show. I want to see the girls in Paris or London. An episode where they all visit Gurj's parents for an Indian weekend would be so awesome. The Jersey Shore is just crap. But overall, nice episode.
This show is BORING. I keep hoping it will get better. I will stick with it I like them enough. But it is still boring. WTH was up with that guy lmao. Funniest thing on the whole show. And that one girls drummer boyfriend. They made him look like a drunk *******, wtf Shaolon was talking al that crap about her other two friends who stayed behind with husbands and boyfriends who would not be seen again. Then she ditches her sick friend for an EX- boyfriend of all things. And what did they show it like the second she started talking to him she was showing her chest and all that. Desperate much ? I like Shallon but that was epic fail on being a friend to the girls and her self.
this show sucks! The girls seem like they're trying to be the girls from the Hills or something. Its like a pathetic attempt to mix the Hills, The City, and Jersey Shore. Boooo! Doubt there will be a second season. I'm def not watching anymore episodes, I couldn't even make it through the entire first one...
ok so i just watched the city, the hills and downtown girls. downtown girls was the best out of the three. there was no acting, no faking, no dating games, or anything. gurj and shallon are the greatest. i do not have a connection like the previous 2 shows bc i've been watchin audrina kristin and whitney for a few years now but i still def would like to see more. not more like victoria and trying to be gay or dating eachother's exes, but more like victoria failed her exam and how she deals with it and shallon unable to free herself from her ex kinda thing. its in no way sex and the city, its young women learning falling getting back up and making it in one of the toughest states in the US
..this is a pitty comment. since for some reason there were only 2..
This is the problem: this show is being compared to, and was advertised as a 20-something's answer to Sex and the City. When compared to Sex and the City this show is a complete failure. Though SATC was about sex, it was mostly about the daring honestly shared between a group of worldly women. The women on SATC could survive and thrive alone, but CHOSE to be in each other's lives. The girls on this new MTV show are not past the immature notions about what friendship is all about. They seem to be using each other as placeholders in an entourage without truly understanding what it means to empathize with and be brutally real with one another. Their cliche, twangy valley girl accents only accentuate the falseness. Though these women have a well-decorated grown up apartment, it seems they live together because they haven't really matured beyond college. The goal for these girls is to take as many pictures of themselves dressed up for facebook posting, go out every chance they can in order to be able to say that they "went out last night", and bury themselves in a group in order to receive constant reassurance that they are "ok", "cool" and "normal". Nobody wants to watch that. It's not self discovery, it's called emptiness. It's emotional aimlessness. When someone fails the bar exam, if you're a mature adult, you realize that a group hug is not in order. Group hugs do not convey empathy or console. The hug only serves to wipe away the awkwardness that immature, hopelessly self-absorbed people feel when something unfortunate has happened to their friend. Gurj Bassi is the only one who seemed to be mature enough to put herself in someone else's shoes and suggest leaving the room. I'm very frustrated that this show is compared to SATC. The magic of the characters on SATC blossomed from the portrayal of STRONG, CONFIDENT, UNIQUE women depending on a brutally honest relationship with their girlfriends in order to navigate dating and life in general. These unripe, shallow women on this MTV show are "playing at" friendship and are only using each other to fill out an entourage. What's sad is that they are actually friends in real life. Simply living in NYC doesn't make you gutsy, interesting, unique, or mature. And you will probably never grow into a women like one of the characters on SATC if you keep seeking out and hanging out with the same types of girls you grew up with in your hometown. These girls might provide you with constant reassurance, but truly interesting people challenge their comfort zone daily without having to make the endeavor a group activity. So, so, so boring. So, so, soooooo manufactured.
I can't believe that guy that they met on the beach said that...seriously...
