Trevor and Aeon fight over the fate of a godlike being.
As Kamrom points out, there were several other changes for the DVD release. I think that most of them are for the worse. For example, at around 9:00 when Trevor says "Aeon Flux stop and think! It could have changed everything!" she originally replied "Change everything yourself." and he says menacingly "I WILL!" Maybe that's less deep than "Not the ways we are." "EVERYTHING!", but I like the orignal exchange better. There are other alterations as well. Fortunately I bought The Complete Aeon Flux VHS box set years ago and have the original version. I'm thinking of cutting together a comparison of the changes made to the Demiurge episode for Youtube, as it's my favorite episode of the series.
I noticed it too. And the reason? You wont like it. Originally, this was meant to be the first full-length episode. In which case that line makes perfect sense. But as it is, it instead became the fifth full length episode. Aeon's words, "No one changes me." Wouldnt make much sense after the events of "A Last Time For Everything." Because in that episode, after...the spoiler happens...it becomes clear that yes, someone CAN change Aeon. This would be fine, a character can change..but after A Last Time, she wouldnt say that, as she knows it to be untrue. part of several edits for the DVD release that attempt to reconstruct a chronology that was kinda broken when MTV deemed this episode too controversial to be aired first.
in the original Aeon says "No one changes me." Why is it dubbed out at 9:27?
Great episode.
