Dr. Drew sits down with this season's new moms to to discuss everything from relationships to birth control, and all 12 girls share a stage together for the first time.
As much as I appreciate the portrayal of someone who chose an abortion, it gives a skewed image of why women choose it, because she's still in the initial stage where her feeling around it aren't resolved. She sounded emotionally coerced into the whole thing, despite taking responsibility for it being her decision. Though that's a REALLY common coping reaction, most women discover later on that the guilt surrounding that decision isn't really their's; it belongs to society, from the messages of what women SHOULD feel as martyrs, rather than what they actually DO feel as individuals.
you have no idea how counseling works...
i understand that 16AP is credited for decline in teen pregnancies, but honestly i don't see how. all the girls on the show seem to want the attention, and 15 mins of fame that comes with the show. what MTV SHOULD do is 2 things, 1. offer a scholarship to all of the babies that are born on the show. 2. offer paid tuition to any college, in addition pay for books and supplies to the girls that CHOOSE to give their babies up for adoption. I know that MTV is out to make money, so of course they want the drama that only 2 teens with their heads up their butts complaining about how they have to change diapers. of course MTV wants that sort of drama... but they really need to highlight adoption more. aside from the Catelynn and Tyler in season 1 i can't think of any other teen that has gone that route.
yeah, life is tough... I've seen a few episodes where the babies haven't even been born yet and parents are asking these same hard questions. and you know what happens? the girls either get upset and cry or get upset and yell. THAT is because they are emotionally immature, don't know how to deal with a situation. and when someone comes around asking them real problem questions and they don't have answers because they are living in a freaking fairytale world that they imagined for themselves... well of course they are going to cry!
She is very immature.
No Kidding!
If it none of my business than why is it a reality show?
He's asking questions. He isn't implying anything. He really truly wants to know how they're going to attempt college while raising a kid. He's not at all telling them that its impossible. He knows that its not because he's seen it happen.
I can relate to Brianna's story because when I had my daughter her dad never came around and my sister wanted me to get an abortion just because she got one but I decided to keep my daughter even without the help or support from her dad or my sister.
Frankley i completely agree with Dick don't listen to all those others because you are talking sense and that you won't be a teen dad like the other boys makeing comments. Keep up the good work. It's good to see a teenager stop and think with their brain and not their hormones
why would she complain about what a terrible person he is and then have sex with him what a hypocrite
Dick that is know of your buisness
Dr. Drew is not in the wrong he is telling reality, They cry on there own Dr. Drew has nothing to do with it,
i was wondering what happened to felicia from 16 and pregnant
Briana is absolutely beautiful and an amazing person. How did she ever end up with Devaughn???
I'm against abortions but Brittany did what she had to do for her family. I am not her. She is who she is. She makes her own decisions. I really like their family. Their so close. Reminds me of my family & I. Brittany seems like a great wise girl. Briana also. She is a good mother...
When is this show supposed to come back on?? I miss it so much :(
Some peoples priorities are just screwed up ://
I totally agree with you !
Dr. Drew is ridiculous. He's always taking the side of a deadbeat dad, or acting like the mom and dad are coming from two equal points of frustration when one's given up everything to raise the kid, and the other's never around. It's hard to watch. I understand that you have to be evenhanded, but he gives these moms no credit, and the dads too much.
