it is not just white girls. and either way so what if the majority is right they are different people so it makes for an interesting show. no one has to give a **** its for entertainment purposes and trying to educate people on teen pregnancy

Does anyone know how we can get in contact with these moms. I live in AL about 30 miles outside of Centre and have been in her position. I was 19 when my son was born and I have raised him by myself and know how important it is to have friends. Until you are a mom by yourself you do not know how hard it is. Some of these comments are sooo mean! Who cares if she wants a normal senior year or if she doesnt want to jump into marriage? A baby is sooo stressful on a relationship especially if you are teen parents. The bottom line is that they are both great people and even greater parents!! You can tell that family is full of love and support for one another :) I can't believe that people are being so rude at least shes not like Jenelle and Amber!!! I LOVE BOTH HER AND JR AND WISH THEM NOTHING BUT HAPPINESS!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are considering an abortion, get all the facts. It is a baby from conception, but even if you don't think so, that "thing" still is what is to be the baby. I have watched a 10 week old baby try to get away from the suction machine to only of course fail. Yes, having a baby is hard, but so is life and it will get easier. Cheyanne, it is clear that Kayla loves her son. Still, this was a serious lapse in judgment. A baby's head and spine are extremely vulnerable to injury, and no matter how well you know a horse, you cannot predict for all variables--that horse could be frightened by something unexpected and throw the two of them, or it could make a single jerky movement that injured the baby's spine.. There are better ways to pass on her love for horses, although I applaud her for wanting her son to have good experiences with animals. We can say she made a lapse in judgment without calling the goodness of her intentions into question.

I will inevitably touch upon a well-spring of deep-seated rage by saying this, but... JR is far from being a perfect catch, and a marriage between these two right now would more than likely be disastrous. He willfully refuses, during the show, to listen to her when she presents her uncertainties, and he and his family are leveraging a lot of emotional blackmail to try to force them to marry. He has a job, but he is underemployed. No crime there, I live in AL and I know what the job prospects are; all the same, he is pursuing this so doggedly that I suspect it has less to do with his desire to be a father and more to do with assuaging his own self-esteem issues. Subtle control is still control, and telling a woman that she doesn't love her mate or her child because she *wants* to go to college is just nothing but manipulation. As far as Kayla being a 'mooch,' I would put forth that good families rally when things go bad to keep them from going worse. Errors in judgment happen. It shouldn't spell doom for the parties involved, and good parents want to make sure it doesn't. As a mother, I am raising my children to approach sex and parenthood with the utmost caution and forethought. If they slip up, though, there is no way I will throw them to the wolves--or to a well-meaning but manipulative boy with a borrowed house trailer and a point to make.

Actually Amber your completely wrong, the stats do not truly reflect everyone because the majority of white teens have private insurance so those numbers are not counted, there are more white pregnancies and more whites on welfare (just another fact for you) Period!!! Do some research as to how they get those numbers. Trust I don't agree with Zach's comment but you took it to another level. On another note, my friends works for MTV and 98% of the submissions come from white girls. sorry love

@ Stephanie So because she's fortunate enough to have a supportive family, she's a spoiled brat? There's a clear difference between demanding support (spoiled) and being offered it. I can easily say she is more mature than you, based off of what you just wrote. And, if you think that this assumption towards you is unfair, then why are you creating similar assumptions towards her, based off of a one hour show? You might want to consider discontinuing your e-bashing. It's hypocrisy at its finest.

It'd be one thing if any of yall knew what yall were talking about. But obviously yall don't know them. They're both great parents & they're a great couple. She took Rylan on the horse because she loves horses & she wants him to love them too. Dont talk about something you don't know about.

pregnancy does not just happen it is caused. I do agree that they are good parents and she is making good choices but they should and could have wated to have sex!!

Pregnancy can happen to anyone. I think Kayla is a strong girl no matter if her parents help her or not. I disagree with a few comments i saw. Some of them are very rude and unacceptable. At least Kayla is thinking about all her options, & i don't blame her for being upset for missing out on things her senior year, that is normal. I think her and JR seem like good parents and wish them the best of luck :)

I want to know why MTV would video her on a horse with a New born??? that was so awful to watch. If that horse got spooked for any reason, her baby could have been killed...I thought that was such poor behavior on everyone involved.

I think that's it's a great that Kayla wants to still act like a teenager but don't we all? Once you become a parent that is what you are.You say goodbye to your childhood when you have unprotected sex and become a mother. Good luck to everyone ..rooting for only the best !
