Every year on December 1st, the world comes together to observe World AIDS Day.

This international day of action on HIV and AIDS is dedicated to mourning the more than 25 million lives already lost and to raising awareness to stop the continued spread of the epidemic. The number of people living with HIV globally has reached its highest level at an estimated 40 million people.

Remember, the closest thing to a cure for AIDS is education:

· Educate yourself, your partner, and your loved ones.

· Get tested and know your status.

· Use protection to keep yourself and others HIV-free.
