What Is It?
You choose your music, now choose your ringtone. Use your Virgin Mobile phone to download ringtones of the tracks playing on MTV.
Find it on your phone at: VirginXtras/VirginXL -> *MTV -> Ringtones
How do I use it?
To download *MTV ringtones directly from your Virgin Mobile phone, follow these steps (only customers with the Vox 8500, K7 Rave, Slider V5, Audiovox 8610 or Audiovox 8910 can do this--for customers who have either the Party or the Super models, please go to www.mtv.com/starmtv/ringtones):
1. Select VirginXtras from your phone's Main Menu.
2. From VirginXtras, select *MTV and then hit Ringtones.
3. Choose a ringtone category, select a ringtone you want to download and hit Buy.
4. After you purchase a ringtone, you will receive a text message containing instructions on how to set it up on your phone.
5. You can also get to *MTV ringtones by selecting VirginXtras from the main menu of your phone and then Ringtones.
6. From the Ringtones menu, select *MTV.
To download *MTV ringtones from MTV.com to your Virgin Mobile phone, follow these steps:
1. Visit the MTV ringtone store.
2. Select the ringtone you want to purchase then hit Buy.
3. Enter your Virgin Mobile phone number and vKey, then click Submit.
4. After purchasing a ringtone, you will receive a text message containing instructions on how to set it up on your phone.
How about a tip?
Sure here are four tips:
1. Only customers with the Vox 8500, K7 Rave, Slider V5, Audiovox 8610 or Audiovox 8910 can download ringtones directly from their phones.
2. Anyone with a Virgin Mobile phone can download a ringtone from MTV.com.
3. MTV.com's ringtone store offers many ringtones not featured on your Virgin Mobile phone. Check back often for the latest ringtones.
4. Want to hear the ringtones before you buy them? Click 'D', 'P' or 'M' next to the audio symbol to preview a ringtone online. You can also check to see what kind of ringtone your phone uses.
How much does it cost?
1. Monophonic ringtones, used on the Party Animal and the Super Model phone, cost $1.00.
2. Polyphonic ringtones, used on the Vox 8500, K7 Rave, Slider V5, or Audiovox 8610 phones, cost $2.00.
3. DigiTones (actual songs), used on the Audiovox 8610 and Audiovox 8910, cost $2.50.
