How do I register to become a MTV.com member?
To register with MTV.com, click on Community from our homepage. From here you can register with the site, create a member profile, and sign up for MTV Newsletters and E-mail.

I am trying to register, but I'm being asked for a different username and/or password.
No two MTV.com members can have the same username. If you are continually being prompted to enter a different username or password, the username you've chosen is already taken. Add your lucky number after your name or spell your name backwards. Get creative!

Are there any rules for creating a username and password?
A username and password need to have a minimum of 4 characters and a maximum of 17. Allowable characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9, underscore, dash and dot. If you try to register a name that is not within these parameters, you'll get an error message. Please keep in mind that your password is case sensitive.
