The X Effect › Season 1 › Ep. 201

Ryan and Flavia had a relationship that was all about fun and flirtation... until Flavia suspected Ryan was cheating on her and dumped him on the spot. Now she's happily dating Patrick and Ryan has a new girlfriend, Steff.

These two relationships are about to take the ultimate test, as Ryan and Flavia embark on an intimate weekend and Steff and Patrick are forced to observe. X Effect host, Natalia, explains to Ryan and Flavia that their significant others have left and the two will be spending the weekend alone in a luxury suite with two bedrooms...they can sleep wherever they choose. But, not so fast! Steff and Patrick are informed that they'll be hiding out, equipped with some gear to spy on Ryan and Flavia.

Within moments, Ryan grabs Flavia's hand and swears that he never cheated on her. This sets off the red light in Steff and Patrick's room, indicating that the X's are touching. The touch lamp continues to light up (much to Steff's dismay) as Ryan and Flavia share a romantic dinner and talk about what happened with their relationship.

When it's time for dessert, Steff and Patrick are given the choice of either hearing what is being said or seeing it. They go for the audio and are not thrilled to hear both Ryan and Flavia express how much they miss each other. Patrick is exceptionally disappointed to hear his girlfriend tell Ryan he might be the best person she's ever kissed.

The next morning, Steff and Patrick are woken up by the red touch lamp...again. This time it's a playful pillow fight that's set it off. Natalia arrives and give Steff and Patrick the choice of sending Flavia and Ryan to a chocolate spa or to play chess. The catch? If they go to the chocolate spa, Steff and Patrick can spy. Easy decision!

At the spa, Ryan gets to help "perform" the chocolate treatment on Flavia. He's very hands on, causing Steff to reconsider her decision to spy.

Due to a cancellation, Flavia and Ryan are "upgraded" to a new room...with only one bedroom. They've also upgraded Steff and Ryan's TV so they can see the layout of the new room and sensors to show where Flavia and Ryan are at any given time. Almost immediately, Flavia and Ryan jump into the shower together. Steff has had enough and turns off the TV.

Flavia and Ryan get into the hot tub, activating the "jacuzzi cam" for Steff and Patrick. There's no sound, but it's not really needed when Ryan starts licking whip cream off Flavia and vice versa. The TV turns off just before Flavia tells Ryan that she now believes that he didn't cheat on her.

The vacation is about to come to an end and it's time to make some decisions. Steff confronts Flavia with what she knows and tells her she must choose between Patrick and Ryan. Patrick gives Ryan the same ultimatum. When Ryan and Steff meet up, she gives him a note telling him he has to prove she can trust him because he's given her no reason to stay together. Patrick's note ends their relationship, even though Flavia has chosen Patrick over Ryan.

Flavia and Ryan meet up one last time to see who the other chose. Ryan chooses Steff, but hopes that he and Flavia can remain friends.
