Kris Kloss, one of the best play-by-play men in the business, was a wrestling fan from an extremely young age. It was the early 80's and Hulkamania wasn't even running wild yet when Kris discovered the mat game.
But, it wasn't until the late 80's that he really began to eat, sleep, & breathe wrestling. Growing up in Los Angeles, he attended nearly every WWF event at the L.A. Sports Arena and WCW event at the Great Western Forum. He also attended 6 different WrestleManias in person.
Around the age of 13 Kloss knew that he wanted to break into the business.
He discovered Slammers Wrestling Federation the only independent wrestling promotion running in Los Angeles at the time. When Slammers ceased operations Kloss became the official ring announcer for a group called Southern California Championship Wrestling (SCCW) run by a few Slammers alumni including WSX Head Official Patrick Hernandez.
Kloss then landed as the play-by-play man for Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW).
He was the lead for over over 100 episodes of XPW TV and dozens of home videos. At the desire of XPW's producers, the Kloss of XPW was more of a character who blended the personalities of other wrestling hosts and commentators than his true self. In 2003, XPW ceased operations and Kloss moved into acting where he landed the lead in a number of Off-Broadway productions and a stint with the Groundling's in Hollywood.
But, when he received the call to be part of Wrestling Society X, it was goodbye Hollywood, hello WSX Bunker! Since the days of elementary school, Kloss has known that his destiny was to be in the broadcast booth! Looking back at how impromptu wrestling matches in the middle of Geometry class or delivering an oral report in his History class in the voice of legendary pro wrestling ring announcer Howard Finkel landed him in trouble or how the number of hours he's spent watching wrestling matches, Kloss finally has a chance to put his rasslin brain to work as he and leads our WSX commentary team as "The Expert" Kris Kloss.
