Frankie and Fred organize an event downtown to showcase their friends' talents. Reyna is excited for her first singing performance, but her parent's divorce looms over her. Jimmy and Eliza's relationship begins to unravel.

Frankie and Fred organize an event at the famed Nuyorican Cafe to showcase their talents and bring the Heights downtown. The pressure is on as Frankie and Fred have to make sure everything runs smoothly and all of their friends show up with a plan. As an inexperienced actor, Rico isn't sure how to work himself into the event and is afraid to make himself look foolish on stage. His insecurity almost gets the best of him, until Fred asks him to host the event. It's a lot of pressure, but Rico is up for the challenge.
Jimmy and Eliza's relationship is beginning to come apart at the seams after Eliza finds a letter from a school in Miami that Jimmy had applied and been accepted to. She confronts him about it, and he says he will keep her in the loop from now on, but things only seem to get worse.
After 26 years of marriage, Reyna's parents are getting a divorce and her father moves out. She doesn't see much of him, but invites him to watch her first performance at the Nuyorican Event and he says he will come. She is disappointed when she finds out right before she goes on that he won't be there, but doesn't let that get in the way of her performance.
