25 -year-old Robert thinks he looks 40. A rapidly receding hairline has deflated his ego and inspired an array of tactics aimed at deflecting attention away from his increasingly bare lid. For years, Robert has sought an antidote to his problem, mostly in the form of costly and ultimately ineffective over the counter remedies. Now, he's opting for a more permanent solution. Will restoration surgery restore the self esteem Robert's been losing along with his hair?
Rebecca is a 19-year old college student who loved her long wavy hair and enjoyed hanging out with friends. But her sudden hair loss just five months ago, the result of Alopecia, has made her self-conscious and anti-social. Rebecca is pursuing medical treatment in an effort to restore the hair she's lost. But knowing that the condition could resurge at any time she's also attempting to find the confidence and self-acceptance she'll need to be both hair-free and care-free all at once.
Party boy Andy has been losing his hair since he was just 18. Now 22, his bald spot is evolving into a bald top. The butt of his friends' jokes, Andy feels like he has no choice but to accept his follicular shortcoming.
