It starts with a simple, heart-felt question and ends with a kiss. But all bets are off during the months in between. For young brides and grooms it can be the most romantic but anxiety-ridden times of their lives. In this episode of True Life we follow two couples as they try to overcome huge hurdles on their way to the altar.

Sarah and Tristan thought that getting hitched on a beach in Mexico would be a laid-back affair. But they're finding that planning a wedding in a foreign country is full of surprises. After having their caterer bail out last minute, Sarah stresses even more when she tries on her custom-made dress and realizes it's not up to her standards. After a huge blow-out with the dress-maker and threatening law suits, Sarah finally has her dream wedding dress. But the stress continues to build once they get to Mexico and Tristan is several hours late for the rehearsal dinner after he gets stuck out riding ATVs with his buddies. He tries to soothe things over by pretending to have hurt his arm but Sarah is not impressed. Fortunately, Tristan makes in on time for the actual wedding ceremony and the pair have their perfect wedding.

Jason is studying abroad and wants to throw a surprise wedding for his fiancé and mother of his child in a chateau in the French countryside. But with only five thousand dollars to spend, he's not sure that he can make her idea of a dream wedding a reality. Right off the bat, Jason learns the Melissa's chateau wedding will cost him a bit more than the money he'd budgeted but decides it's worth it to give her the wedding she deserves. While trying to complete his finals and take care of all the secret wedding planning, Jason finds himself more than a little overwhelmed. Fortunately, Melissa's sister arrives early and helps Jason get Melissa's wedding dress tailored for the big day. Jason decides all the stress and secrets were well worth it when he proposes to Melissa again and reveals that her dream wedding is about to become a reality. After learning that her family has also flown in to celebrate with them, Melissa is happy beyond words. Exactly what Jason had hoped for.
