April dreams of becoming Miss USA, but she has to get out of the state of Missouri first and that's proving to be more difficult than it appears. April is driven, focused and confident. In her own words she has "no time for games." Along with her mom, her biggest fan, and her pageant coach, she has a tough road ahead if she wants to get the crown in the Miss Tri-County Beauty Pageant.

April meets with her coach Devyn to discuss what she has to work on for the upcoming pageant. Her coach (and friend) does not go easy on her. A reigning Miss Teen USA herself, she feels that she knows exactly what it takes for April to meet her goals. However, April feels differently and promptly fires Devyn after going out to buy a dress for her pageant. True to her dream though, April goes campaigning to support her pageant hopes and comes up with over two thousand dollars to start out with.

April hires a new coach named Lorenzo. Lorenzo has trained many a tiara girl and has a vast amount of experience in the field. He's even a certified pageant judge. He is not impressed when April shows up over an hour late to their first meeting.

The pageant, however, seems to be going well as April dazzles in her gown and nails the walk for the swimsuit competition. She also excels in the talent competition with her singing. But April's dreams are crushed when she doesn't even place in the competition.
