Jasmine gets invited to audition for Juilliard in Chicago -- but as she's preparing for the audition, she also finds herself distracted by continued relationship problems with Tyler, which ends in the two agreeing to take a break. Things get worse when Jasmine gets cut from the auditions one round before the finals. Back in Cincinatti, Tyler and Malik against find themselves competing against each other when Tyler joins the Star Dance Team to go up against The Definition in the Jamfest hip-hop competition. Although The Definition are the underdogs of dance battle, their energy and drive lands them second place behind Tyler's Star Dance Team. Continuing to feel confused by his relationship with Jasmine, Tyler goes to Mia to talk until she puts her foot down and tells him she can't listen to him talk about Jasmine anymore -- but that she hopes he figures out what he really wants.
