Girls from both teams get ready for the final challenge before the last Inferno that stands between them and the finals.
Still on a high after last week's win, the Bad Asses are confident they will be victorious yet again on this week's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Inferno 3. But Good Guy Susie is seriously bummed out about being picked for The Inferno for the fourth time. And things only get worse as her teammate Abe unexpectedly tackles Susie and throws her into the pool. Startled and on the brink of tears, Susie loses her cool. It took four nominations into The Inferno and one throw into the pool to finally get Susie to break! Hang on, girl, it's almost over!
The following day, the Bad Asses and Good Guys meet up with host T.J. Lavin for the "Nothin' But Net" challenge, where each person will climb up a cargo net and then swing back and forth on ropes across the water while collecting team flags. The team with the fastest average time will win the challenge but if any of the teammates fall, their team will automatically receive a 15-minute penalty. The winning team banks 10K, while the fastest guy and girl will win a trip to Hawaii. Making things even more intense, though, is the fact that Aneesa and Susie, who are heading into the final female Inferno, are determined to win the Life Shields.
Although Good Guy John starts off strong, he soon loses his grip on the rope and falls into the water. He?s disqualified and causes his team a 15-minute penalty. Bad Ass Kenny is up next, and he vows to show everyone "how it?s really done." But his smile soon turns upside down when he falls off the rope and gets DQed. Good Guy Alton is actually the first person to complete the challenge, giving his team hope. Then Bad Ass Derrick is up, and his strategy is simple: conserve energy until the end. This method actually works and he completes the challenge.
The pressure's on when Bad Ass Aneesa goes up against the net. She wants to win the Life Shield but the Nothin' But Net challenge is too much for her and she soon gives up -- just like last week. Next, Good Guy Cara attempts to tackle the net but she also gives up, and her team suspects she threw in the towel on purpose in order to save Susie a leg up on the Life Shield. She?s disqualified and her team is penalized 15 minutes.
As people are DQed left and right, it looks like it's anyone?s game. When it's time for Susie to grab the net, she feels she has to prove her worth to the Good Guys and win the Life Shield. And she does, as she actually completes the challenge without falling. In the end, the Bad Asses win, again, and it comes as no surprise when Susie wins the Life Shield.
Now, the heat is really on! After winning the Life Shield, Susie must decide if she will send Cara (yeah, right) or Paula into The Inferno. The team thinks Cara is the weakest link and deserves to go into The Inferno but Susie says she wants to pick Paula. Susie is reluctant to send Cara in due to an agreement they made to look out for each other and -- surprise, surprise -- the other Good Guys are seriously ticked. Could Susie and Cara's little agreement hurt the team?
After much debate, Susie chooses Paula to replace her in The Inferno (shocker) and there?s an automatic air of disgust among the Good Guys. But there's no more time to discuss the decision, as it's time for Paula and Aneesa to go head-to-head in the "Shimmy" challenge. Both players must shimmy between two walls and capture the flag at the top. The first player to reach the top wins. Looks like Paula's got a leg up on this one, as she says she used to literally climb the walls when she was a kid.
The horn blows and the ladies start to shimmy! In no time, Paula climbs the wall and defeats Aneesa. The Good Guys celebrate their win while Aneesa is sent packing. The dynamic duo of Cara and Susie remains intact and oblivious to the tension they're causing within the team. But, for now, Paula's victory overshadows any ill feelings. With the final challenge coming up next week, will the Good Guys be able to hold it together and keep their feelings under control?
